UP Studio

Post by Kitsamus » Fri Feb 05, 2016 12:19 pm

Tried the Beta of UP Studio and it seems like a nice piece of software, very similar to Microsoft 3D Builder.
I may be missing it, but I can't seem to find the Platform Pre-heat function.

Is there a button to pre-heat the print bed?

Thanks

Pretty sure its not in the software. Only way I have been able to preheat on the Up Box is via the buttons on the side of the printer.

Yes I took the survey thank you.

Are there going to be smartphone apps that work in conjunction with the UP Studio software?

Again another comment stating nothing. I'm starting to find the secretive nature of Tiertime really annoying especially when nothing is actually groundbreaking or totally new. Why not tell your users what you are working on?!?!

There is actually another post with like 4 pages of comments.
Jason has stated that the software team is taking the comments real serious. (I would expect most of the things people suggested)
Along with wifi for the UP box, looks like there will be android and IOS based apps, etc.

Yes I know, I read them.
Its great if you are just interested in simplistic stuff but I can't see any 2-way conversations on how any features will/should work. I'm involved in a few other printer forums and they treat their customer like they might actually understand 3D printers.

Sorry I cannot reveal the details about our R&D. However I can restate what I said in other posts, which I believe will be release in a few months:
1. up mini2
2. update for UP Studio, include many improvements based on customer feedbacks.
3. an smartphone app
4. WIFI and other upgrades for BOX

Are you telling that Up BOX has Wifi hardware and it will be a software only upgrade?
