The images of printed case for PCB of my Autopilot project with Up 3d printer.
The dimensions of case are 4x8x1 cm, minimum wall thickness used is 1 mm. Layer thickness 0.2 mm (took at about 1 hour to print case and cap both at once).
Both PCB and case were designed to fit eachother.

Looks very nice! Is the labeling printed on a sheet of transparency? And then just glued to the cap?
I've also read about some toner-transfer methods to ABS that seemed to have worked well. You may be interested in that for future projects.

It's self-adhesive transparent laser printer film. Actually I'm more than satisfied with the detail quality & accuracy of print. Almost commercial quality of box. It was very easy to remove supports and raft.iomega wrote:Looks very nice! Is the labeling printed on a sheet of transparency? And then just glued to the cap?

What's the toner-transfer method?
Re: Printed Autopilot case
The toner transfer method allows you to print text/graphics with a laser printer and then transfer that pattern by effectively melting the toner onto the new surface (using a hot iron). An example of it being performed on ABS is at this website: http://www.electrobob.com/toner-transfer-to-abs/svid123 wrote: It's self-adhesive transparent laser printer film.
