Hi
I'm a newbie in 3D printing and I need help -
I've just purchased a 3D up plus desktop printer. I'm working on a mac environment (10.7.3 with Intel Core i7). I installed the 'UP' software 1.3, was able to to initalize the printer and set the height and did my first printings.
Now, sometimes the plattform crashes down during the print job -
I just resetted all, but this didn't change anything -
So what else can I do?
Thanks so so much for any help
Oth

Re: Printing-plattform crashes down
This should not happen.
You probably have a defective printer. Contact Up for support.

Re: Printing-plattform crashes down
Probably a silly question, but is the power jack pushed in properly? And the printer on a solid base? I had my power plug come out during a print once, due to not being on a solid table. Loss of power causes the platform to crash to the bottom. Just a thought....

If an artist were to try to manufacture his or her design without coming across 3D printing, he or she may have to face ridiculous pricing at machine shops, or even worse - dealing with manufacturing plants across the globe.

Re: Printing-plattform crashes down
We had this problem.
Happened 3 times and I got it on video the 3rd time.
Quite scary when it happens.
Here's all that I know, It happened when connected to a desktop running Windows7, both 1.15 & 1.16.
I then connected to a brand new laptop also running windows 7, and it didn't happen again.
HOWEVER, due to several other problems with the Z-axis, the base unit was replaced for us.
I am now getting noticeably better prints.
I have uploaded the video of the printer dropping for reference.
