Thanks for posting these! Here is a side by side with the available pics:

Pics via Dizingof for the rendering, Tom Meeks for Cubify, and pp3dp.nl for the UP.

The UP printing appears of higher quality, but I'm not sure about two things:
- How much time Tom spent removing support material from every crevice.
- And it looks like only the top 2/3 of the Vase got printed for the UP version and I'm not sure how much that skews a side by side.

All in all this may nudge me one step closer to getting an UP :)

I would like to say I printed the whole model, just rescaled it a bit. Maybe the picture doesn't do it justice because the camera was really close, but the whole model was printed from bottom to top.

And the support came off real easy, the model was clean in 2 minutes.

JP Morgan lowered its rating on 3D Systems Corporation today, citing, among other things, that "We are also concerned that expectations relating to the consumer product launch are unrealistic."

I don't own an UP! yet (waiting for the Mini to come out). Has anyone done something similar to this with the UP! ?

(just wondering how it compares)

P.S Julia, you might be interested. The guy who writes the blog uses MOI. It's a VERY nice CAD program.

I'll try to find time to run those tests on my Up. But somebody needs to tell that guy the difference between a "cube" and a box, lol. Took me a minute to figure out what the heck he was talking about - I don't see any "cubes"!

MOI does look interesting, thanks!
