what would happen if i unplug the usb cable while printing?

Post by cambazz » Sat Mar 19, 2011 12:45 pm

Hello,

What would happen if the usb cable is plugged off while printing?

Also, after printing finishes, I turn off the printer, raise the platform by hand and unmount it. is there a problem moving the platform by hand while the printer is off? Is this something we should not do?

Best Regards,
-C.A.

Cool :)
I hope you can share photos/videos when you're done.

I know of three (3) working copies around the place now... I'm waiting for my mini-servos to arrive for a miniature/simpler model.

yes, miniature model should be so cool. I am thinking of replacing the servos, main frame with polulu motors. and I am looking for a rubber solution for the wheels.
best.

I used spray on rubber (forgot brand name) and it is very good.

Took a video yesterday with the original wheels - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjSNTQz6b7Q

Maybe even a layer of glue on top is good enough :)

Which pololu motors? The problem is that most are expensive... :( and the cheap ones are well...cheap/low quality.

I have the metal geared ones bought from China for around $2.5-$3 [From memory Pololu sells them for $15/20].
