UP Mini Platform Heater v2 Vs Mods

Hi all, has anyone got or tried the UP Mini Platform Heater v2??
I've tried the thermal switch trick (100c) and the standard platform only ever gets to around 52 degrees.

Is there anything else I can try before I take the plunge and get the 80 degree platform?

I have the red Heater Platform. Works well. Temp is 80 degree. You can select temps in 5 degree steps: 50 55 60 65 70 75 and 80. My platform heats to 80 degree in around 7 to 9 minutes. I can recommend the platform.

I purchased the V2 board as well but still need to install it.

I rather put something in easily rather than modding the board which will void warranty.
