Thermistor.
I am having trouble sourcing a thermistor for my Mini. Could I just use any 100K thermistor? Or does anyone know where I can but the right sized PT100?
Re: Thermistor.
I´m using this kind of thermistors: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008SOCB8Y/r ... 31_TE_dp_1
Just take care that you chose NC (normal close) type.

Re: Thermistor.
Many thanks for the quick reply but I am after a thermistor not a thermostat.
The thermistor is placed in the heater block to read the heater/nozzle temperature.

Re: Thermistor.
Thank you stormychel but the PT100s being sold on their are too wide. The heater block will only take a thermistor that is 2.5mm wide (if my calipers are to be believed.). I cannot find one that small. I was hoping I could use any 100K thermistor in its place. The Mini's firmware may be specific in the type of thermistor used and I cannot access it. Unlike Marlin firmware and the like, where you can change the values of the thermistor used.

Re: Thermistor.
I think it may be a case of trying a couple of differently manufactured 100k thermistors and seeing which is the most accurate and stable. PT100s are made from platinum and give the most consistent readings over time and temperature.
