Nozzle heat sensor.....

Post by WestfieldDT » Fri May 10, 2019 2:04 pm

Hi all we are running an UP Plus2 and until now it has been problem free.... When the printer is cold/ first turned on the nozzle temp is reading 134.
When we heat the nozzle the reading increases and cuts out at the desired temp, however as the sensor is starting at 134 degrees the nozzle is no where near temp required to melt the ABS.
Any ideas if there as a rest button or a way to calibrate the sensor or will be a new sensor?

We have set the nozzle temperature higher to make sure the heating element is working and it extruded's at the higher temp but says its too hot to print.
Thanks in advance ....

Sounds like you most likely need a new nozzle block heater

Can't comment on the UP Plus2 but when my UPBOX reported a erroneous nozzle temps it was the big flat "FCC" cable that was at fault. Does a Plus2 have such a cable? If so it's a much cheaper thing to try than a hot end.

Cheers, Owen S.
