Broken part Take 4 or 5.....

Post by gholland » Fri Dec 30, 2016 4:32 am

Hi all,

I'm loving the up plus 2 but there seems to be lots of things going wrong for me.

Today I found this piece just lying in underneath the printing board. Any ideas?

Hopefully isn't too much of a issue.... Thanks

Looking at the up spare parts I think it is the "z fixer 13"

No idea what that is....

I would agree that is the z-fixer, remove the front upright cover - the z fixer is on the lower right side of the printer...

Hi Ricks,

Thanks for confirming that for me. If you don't mind could you walk me through removing the front upright cover?

Im not sure what to unscrew and I'd love to not have to unscrew everything haha

Remove printhead first
Remove platform table - remove the two screws underneath the platform table (might not be necessary to remove the platform table, but it might make it a easier when you go to remove and reinstall the upright cover)
Remove the 3 screws on the right side of machine
Remove the 6 screws on the left side
Lift up a little on the cover and pull towards you.

And while you have the cover off and two rails exposed, you might want to apply a little grease to the rails, I use mobil-1 synthetic grease.
