Up Plus Platform leveling issue

Post by wingzero02 » Wed Dec 31, 2014 5:09 am

I spent some time leveling the platform and I can get all but 1 point about .1mm from the platform. the right rear corner of the platform is too low, its about .3-.4mm away from the nozzle and when I use the screws on the bottom to adjust the height it makes the left rear corner touch the nozzle. I noticed that the screw that adjust the rear part of the platform, the platform is kind of leaning on the right side, the left side is slightly higher than the right side. I spent many hours getting that platform leveled but it seems that the rear section of the platform is just uneven. is there an instruction or suggestions on how to fix this? I can print just fine if I keep the models away from the right rear quadrant of the platform.

I have the same issue, I put a little aluminum foil wedge between the black heater core and the actual aluminum platform.. You will notice it is secured with 2 screws. Just find the right place to put it and then use the tightening pressure of the screws to "force" level it.

I have 2 UP! Plus's , and have found that the platforms aren't truly flat.

I level it as best as I can manually and set the nozzle height. The raft will take up the slack with each layer.

Hi,

You really need to upgrade your mounting scheme to the one I outline here, pay close attention to the instructions and you should be happy in no time.
If your printer is a newer model you will need to mill/drill a small pocket in the underside of the aluminum mount block that houses the heater/thermistor to allow the stacking of the column for the single pivot point.
Most of your issues stem from the use of the 3 springs, throw them out, you will be able to tram the build plate to the nozzle to a high degree, just remember to always tighten NEVER LOOSEN the leveling screws.
