Problem with removeming surface filament

Post by Rene1981 » Tue May 20, 2014 11:18 am

Hello,

since a few months, I've got a problem with removing the supporting filament from the object I want:
- You have the filament on the printerbed , form printerbed to printerbed (thats not a problem)
- And you have the filament at the object, from printerbed to the object (and thats a problem)

In the past I just could take it away and I had a smooth surface. At the moment, I really have to work from taking the filament away from the object. This ruins the surface of the object.

Does anyone have this problem too? If yes, do you know the solution?

I had problems wih the calibration before and now the nozzle is a bit closer to the printerbed. Maybe that solve the calibrationproblemn, but causes this problem.

Does anyone have a solution for me? Otherwise I can't sell the products to other people.

Thanks!

René

If you are using non genuine filament it is because it is too hot - get a temp mod. If it's genuine then open the wind barrier after the initial couple of base layers are laid but before your real print layer starts.

Hello Roller,

I use genuine filament, and the Up! plus is an open printer, so I can't open the wind barrier.

This is the wind barrier:

Hello,

thanks for your reactions so far.
Unfortunatly it didn't help.

I tried printing with open and closed wind barrier, with other filament (new role and older one), with less or more surface layers, but it still won't work like before.
I also calibrated the printplatform again, but that didn't help either.

Does anyone have another solution?

Thanks!

Did you change software versions between then and now?
The printing temps where changed at some point and that can cause your problems.

I didn't change the software version.
