Possible to Print Without Support

Post by hercemer » Sun Mar 02, 2014 5:00 pm

Is it possible to print without support with the Up Plus 2?

For example, this Thingiverse thing suggests printing without support material, but when printed on my Up Plus I always get support -

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you manage to figure out how to print that part without support?

Go to preferences in the print window. Under the Support section, go to Area (drop down) and select "Only Base". This allows you to print without support material.

I've printed a number of finer chainmail designs in the past. Not really any reason to turn off support but leave the fan barrier open to make it easier to get off the base.
