Small scale printing test.

Post by jspark » Mon Oct 01, 2012 8:05 am

I've tested to print a small scale model printing on the 0.15mm layer thickness.

The clumsy dragon( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18365 ) scaled down to x0.2,x0.1.

There's a problem of support on the x0.1 scale printing.

It should be possible to set under the 3mm^2 support area in order to make perfect small size printing.

Thanks wilsonj! ;)
The x0.1 scale dragon is just 11mm tall and the printing time was about 8 min. :)

Yeah you are right this scale is good for the printing purpose and very comfortable for the dragon printing...these dragon color is looking too much pretty..the large of which will be obtained from small-scale improvements.

Hey Mate

I am in favor of FDM printer which is bet for for small things. Its printing result and graphics are nice. You will the dragon color and graphics nice in after taking print of small scaling. There is no alternative for FDM printer to take quality prints.
