Power issue with 3DP-14-4-A

Post by Trick » Fri May 19, 2017 10:19 am

Hi all,
I was printing my first model on the above printer UP plus 2 ( which our school have owned for three years but never used!), when after the first layer only, the machine just shut down, with no life or Initialise light at all.
The AC/DC adaptor still has a blue light, showing power there, so is something seriously blown at the CPU and is there anything I can do to fix it ( I have e-mailed support but have received no answer yet)?

Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks

Sounds to me like the CPU board inside the printer is bad. Does your school have another UP! printer? if so you can swap the CPU boards and see if that fixes the issue, if it does, then the CPU board is definitely the problem.

If the CPU board is bad, a replacement can be purchased however they are not cheap.
