Any opinions on Lulzbot taz from UP!+ users

Post by outsider » Wed Sep 14, 2016 6:37 pm

I've been using my up+ 2 for the past couple of years and i't been running great, however I've been wanting a larger print area, and have started looking at the Lulzbot Taz 5 or 6.
Anyone out there that has both an Up+ and a Taz that can speak of the print quality of the taz compared to the up+?
Just trying to get some opinions using the UP as the reference.

Let me know if you have any input.

I have, but unless UP come out with a dual extruder option and a way to change the nozzle temperature, I'm afraid it's not on my short list.

Duel extruder may be a problem, but you have been able to adjust nozzle temperature for a little while now with UP Studio. Where you select the filament type, there is now a customise option where you can set nozzle temperature and bed temperature.

if you are not willing to pay the premium (for both printer, extruders and wasted plastic) dual extrusion is not nearly as fun as one would expect
