RAFT CORNERS LIFTING

Post by Telboy » Mon Jul 11, 2016 12:23 pm

We have noticed on the last couple of medium to large models that we have printed that the front two corners of the Raft have lifted away from the Baseboard. Any ideas as to what is happening here & how we can stop it?

Hi.

First thoughts (in order of likelihood) are:-

(a) Bed is not perfectly level. (Check with feeler gauge or sheet of paper.)

(b) Nozzle height slightly too low. As little as 0.1mm makes a difference. (Try raising the nozzle height by 0.2mm perhaps.)

(c) The geometry of the model is causing stresses that are greater than the adhesion to the board.

Cheers,

Owen S.
