Building a bigger UP

Post by bashidap » Thu Nov 08, 2012 10:34 am

For a while I've been thinking about making my UP a bit bigger. Mechanics don't have a problem. The only doubt I have is the software working area. Does somebody know if its possible the adjust the this?

Hi

It might be easier, but also costly, to just invest in the Teirtime Inspire Inspire D255, which is a larger commercial version of the Up! in an enclosed chamber. It possibly uses similar software.

I believe that near you, pp3dp.nl ( http://www.pp3dp.com/forum/memberlist.p ... file&u=840) stocks the Tiertime range

The Fablicator is also a fantastic printer with a large (7 x 7 x 7") build area. I've seen its output and it's superb. $3,500 including the Windows PC, and it's built like a tank, but it's from a small startup company if that's a concern to you.

Gotta love the power usage of the Tiertime. 1.5kw!! That's a lot compared to the measly 120w UP.

Personally I'm waiting for something like the Objet 30 Pro to come down in price. I could we waiting a while I know. (now $43K)
