Re: Spool holder

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33938 This is the spool holder. What side and what settings would I use to print? Here's the filament I bought: http://m.ebay.com/itm/171169005670?nav=SEARCH Hi, my guess is that you download the file and load into the printer and it will fit your spools. If not, yo...

Re: No Perf Plate

psst, 3mm thick build plates doesn't work on the mini. Unless you remove the heat bed and install a thinner washer to replace the little L shaped mounting bracket. I don't think Deet wants to do that with a brand new UP mini :? Cutting PMMA or PC works but NOT thicker than 2mm. Preferably 1.5mm thick

it is not our intention to piss off our loyal Uppers. However, using impolite words does not make your point more convincing. Please choose proper words next time when you post. You have been warned. I guess "piss off" is not impolite eh? Thanks for taking the time to finaly let the UP community kn...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Temperature control

+1 for initiative and the idea that the solution could be so simple.
-1 for the fact that pp3dp wants to protect against 3rd party filament. I mean if not, we the users would have had temp control already.

So the total is zero. Don't hold your breath ;)

Re: Some issues printing PLA

Hi, Print to large maybe but even than it should not take 20+min Did you do the platform calibration? Nozzle to bed height should be 0.1mm or the thickness of a piece of paper. There is NO temp control but there are good mods out there. Double click the on/off button and the led will turn on. Try pr...

Re: Waffle surface

By the way, if you choose to spray the guides I heard it is better to not use WD40. Silicone spray (use regularly) is better because there are a lot of different components in WD40 that can dry and make the bearings tacky. I always use lithium grease but that tends to attract more dust (people that...

Re: Waffle surface

When a ABS part of your printer fails, you can go to a local fablab and let a spare part print right? Thanks D3rax, my local FabLab does have a UP. I don't want to end UP going there ( closed when you NEED a part ) but thanks for the pointer. If they don't have a UP I guess your in a catch22? Or th...

Re: Waffle surface

Maybe the part that attaches the heated table to the belt is a bit loose, I always put some glue between the two. It has reduced lines in my models a lot. No that seems to be okay but thanks. What I did find was that just oiling the rods is not enough. I took ALL rods and bearings off. Some bearing...

Re: Vertical guide problem

The platform on my UP2 is shaking giving a poor surface finish (The machine is not shaking only the platform). I have traced the problem to roller on the right vertical channel is not in contact with the rear wall of the channel. There are no bolts loose or have come loose. None of the parts appear...

The artifact you are seeing is from the repeated movement and the sympathetic vibrations induced in the non-rigid system.

Re: Is my printer faulty?

Hi hajime, Just asking, did you use other fill settings other than the solid fill option? I noticed when I use the 3th or 4th fill setting, the printer layes down drops with little strings in zigzag pattern. The pattern is okay but sometimes the drops stick their head above the current layer. When t...

Don't hold your breath waiting for your suggestions to become true. Just search this forum on requests or wishlist and you get an idee of what has been wished for in the past.
Hopefully Quant 3D will do something with your suggestions.

Take care

Re: Sticky print boards for sale

I might be interested. Is the "sticky" imprint on both sides? And which materials do stick without raft? The Sticky imprint is on oneside and on the shiny side of the board which is the sunny side UP so to speak. The imprint is there to give a little bit more tac when printing on the UP mini. The h...
