PLA support material and ABS prinout

Wondering if anyone knows if the up will make an update on using PLA as support material while printing out ABS? That would be something nice, or if they would install a double extruder in this unit as a upgrade with the software? Being that the UP Plus updates will carry over to the up Mini I'm rea...

I'm new to 3d printing I've sent files to print many times and they work but it's sls since this is ABS it's a different approach with wasted filament.
How would I position something like this to be printed?

Re: Can anyone print me a model?

The wall thicknesses are not in the red zone of 1mm wall thickness it's a bit larger as it was printed via shapeways and they have similar rules on printing objects. ;)

Re: Can anyone print me a model?

Another way to combat the fear of thing walls is to increase the figure size to 5 inches instead of the 4 I kept it at 4 originally was it was cost effective for me to print and fix issues with movement and articulation on my end. Let me know.

Re: Can anyone print me a model?

Hey Juan, I've seen the stuff that's printed on this forum and I have seen prints made organic and hardsurface with much greater detail than my figure printed with no problem, this will be a trial run you can say. To see if I can indeed print my figures off this up printer. How much are you going to...

Can anyone print me a model?

Hi I've been checking the forum for some time, I like the Up Printer and I'm waiting to purchase the Up Mini when I have saved enough cash. I was wondering if anyone could print out a figure I have previously made using Shapeways, using them proved my figure works. Now I want to take it to the next ...

Clearence

What are good work flows for making something with lets say a moveable part to be made in one printed file?
Something like a helicopter tail propeller. The model will probably be 4inches in size, I'm looking for best practices as far as creating a bit of clearance for the printing it in one go? ;) ;)
