New software version 2.15

I saw the new version is downloadable from pp3dp.com: version 2.15. :D

There is a new one for Windows as well as Mac, could people test it to see if it is more like the Windows version now?

The info states ''Major upgrade for Up Box'' so I hope for Mac people this is a nice stable release.

Re: Platform Heating

Does the printer not start with a table temp too low or are you waiting yourself? Maybe check the wires for the table heater, is it the same heater system as the Up Plus or as the Mini?

Re: UP BOX just arrived

I'm very jealous! :D I tried to get one for my 3D printing workshops but due to overwhelming demand I have to wait for my reseller :( I saw 3D printing systems had software version 2.14, how do they always have it before PP3DP/TierTime haha. Are there any significant changes or is it for the Up Box?...

Re: Airbrushing out the plastic defects at 260 degrees.

Hello, yes it is true that heat returns the color. Also a light spray of clear varnish (matte or glossy) or wipe of acetone does the job. The cheapest way is to use a turbo lighter or creme brulee burner. I have some for as low as €2 and you only have to wave the heat a bit around the bottom to make...

Re: Using PLA on 3D UP

Maybe first flush out the ABS in the nozzle by inserting PLA, I always extrude PLA about 3 times (Extrude command in Maintenance) on ABS temperature. Then set the software to PLA and hit extrude once.

If I Google Weibo Tiertime I see more pictures, good looking machine. And what is the Up Plus 2X? An enclosed Up Plus, looks very good. Sadly only for China?

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime

Frankly, in this age of crowdfunding and pre-ordering, I find it refreshing that this is not being over-hyped before it's actually ready. Hopefully when they do announce, one will simply be able to buy it, like in the old days :) Haha exactly that would be refreshing :D But they already hyped it a ...

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime

Its now almost 6 months since they announced it, I guess they are having problems. Last I heard, its going to be sometime next month before its available. I heard something like that but nothing official I guess, it's strange that TierTime/PP3DP is so quiet.. Any info would be nice apart from the a...

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime

Any news about this? Any news at all? Is there any reseller with a demo machine, is the AUS/NZ reseller out of line with their strange preorder? That creates anticipation for the machine but when exacly can we expect to actually buy and own one? I can hardly find info on the internet from this year ...

Re: WORKING: SOFTWARE TEMP MOD - ADJUSTABLE LAYER HEIGHTS !

Right now Forsaken and me are making some progress in deciphering the UP "program" format (the data sent to printer which represent the print job). After we fully understand the UP program commands (we are close to 80% now) we can make a GCODE-->UP Program converter. This converter will let...

Beste Maurice, zit je er over na te denken of verkoop je ze zelf? Je reclame staat ook in je signature dus zeggen dat op die website staat dat de Up niet goed genoeg is vind ik een beetje raar om op het Up forum the plaatsen.

Re: Up Plus 2 extruder axis problems

If you have tried those steps (were the most probable causes) I can only think of reflashing the ROM, reinstalling the Up software, maybe even on another computer and checking the strength of the motor when it's misprinting. I did have something like this in the past with the Z axis (height of the t...

Re: Some issues printing PLA

... It is by far the simplest to produce good results with complex models. So you made a good choice ... I'm not so sure about that. Among my concerns: requires computer tethering, requires long slice procedure before each build even if u want to print the same thing multiple times, closed source a...

Re: pleeaasseee.... need help.. trouble with printing [image

Okay then try the other thing I mentioned, the X axis is the one inside the metal arm that moves down slowly while printing. First remove the 2 scews that hold the print table to the heater. Then remove the screws that hold the top metal part on the X axis, the rear left can be skipped. Inside you w...

Re: pleeaasseee.... need help.. trouble with printing [image

Probably the gear on the X axis motor is a bit loose OR you have calibrated the software correction wrong. To be sure first go to 3D print/Calibrate and click on Reset. I have had a gear come off the shaft before, I only had success gluing it back on with JB Weld 2 part epoxy (for higher temperature...

Re: Modified extruder head so far...

Would an oven also work? Like they do for nylon? I'm a little hesitant to put them in the microwave... seems so uncontrollable... What brand of PLA is it that works out of the box for you? I tried to dry the desiccant in the oven but that just made it ''sweat'' but then I read about microwaving thi...

Re: Modified extruder head so far...

You might be right about the 10c steps, I have to try PLA on the ABS setting I guess.. I have one BAD spool of PLA that skips randomly during print... It never jams, only skips, say on a 100mmx100mm piece 5 times on each layer. The supplier sent me a new spool and let me keep the old one, the new s...
