Re: Looking for simple STL file combining solution

TinkerCad can import STL's, and once imported they can be easily scaled in X, Y, or Z and combined with other shapes with boolean operations. Just drag a ruler onto the workplane and you get dimensions, which translate accurately to printed output. Thanks for the lead and info I will try that out B...

You can also try this, Take the nozzle away Heat the block with withdraw Take a drill and gently drill the jam out with hands when it`s enought warm Extrude without nozzle and check does the extruded plastic look ok, if not just repeat. Cut the melted plastic away Put the nozzle back Extrude again T...

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime

I found another video on youtube for the Up Box, this one is from the 3d Printshow Paris. So most of the video is in french, occasionally you can hear a guy in the background translating to english. Re: UP Box at TCT - Birmingham

Print quality on PLA was mixed. The bottom-less vase looked terrific but a smaller object printed on day 1 of the show looked less good with a slightly pitted base. Woofy, are you sure it was pitted? Clear PLA when printed right can be very transparent and you end up seeing straight through to the ...

Re: Up Box at NY MakerFaire

Prototype or not, they have to hurry up if going to start selling in November ;). AMD-TEC That's a really good question about the filament. It certainly looks transpare...

Note the username "Brendan Q", and also he is recognizable at 0:14. Have you seen the BOX in ...

Look at the corner thickness, it looks quite thin.
Add round to corner or more material.

This is a little test piece i made up to test the thresholds of thin walls, wall infill and voids. http://i.imgur.com/KomaHio.jpg?1 Dims are in millimeters. Nice test, what was the layer thickness for these results? Have you tried to print it out when part is rotated by z-axis? Would you share the ...
