Re: printing on glass

I've printed ABS and PLA on glass, without raft, on default settings without problems.

Using version 2.5.32.461

Re: printing pla

Just a thought - I'm having trouble understanding what's not working with your description, so the Tiertime guys might also have trouble understanding - It could be worth adding some photographs. I found PLA printed just fine, though ironically, after so many people told me PLA was cleaner than ABS,...

Abnormal number of filament feed failures on UP300

Just noticing I have quite a few feed failures, where the print just stops, often immediately before printing the raft. I have had only 1 feed issue with my old UP Mini since I bought it, and that's about 25+ KG of plastic, but I'm getting them regularly with Tiertime filament on my UP300. Interesti...

31) Lights Out option from the panel. 32) Manage the UP300 queue from the Tiertime software ( so I don't get constantly asked do I want to print some model I haven't printed for months everytime the current print finishes ) - Also want to be able to delete stuff from the UP300 memory from the PC, ra...

Re: [BUG REPORT] Vertical Blob lines

That doesn't look right - I get similar lines on some of my models too, but nothing that severe - I work mostly in ABS too, at 0.1 and 0.2 When I do see something like that, it's always ( so far ) support structure and picks off easily... I've never seen it bulge like that - What are your other sett...

Re: Printer stops and burns plastic. Bug

Hi Brook, I see, that makes sense. I only found it a problem on white ABS so far, and it isn't visible in black. I guess I'd prefer it to work that way in general though. I think it also makes some sections stick harder to raft, which is a bit of a problem too. If it's caused by temporary heat loss ...

Re: ABS warping on the larger build plate.

Hi Brook, This isn't so much about removing material ( which I've played with and seems great even though I haven't had to use the feature yet ) but more that when a part is very long, rather than have support material run as a single segment, if you segmented it so that the maximum length of suppor...

Printer stops and burns plastic. Bug

I've noticed that, while printing, the printer often stops and pauses, maybe 10 to 15 seconds, then continues, however the place where it pauses, the head is hot enough to leave burn marks on white ABS. Is this pause a bug in the firmware or somewhere else? I've noticed it probably happens about onc...

Re: ABS warping on the larger build plate.

Hi Brook,

Is there anywhere where I can find out what each of these settings do, and how changes affect the setting?

Thanks

Re: ABS warping on the larger build plate.

OK, might be related to poor calibration. I checked the factory calibration, and the actual point where the raft was lifting was supposed to be around 0.14 and should have been around 0.3 to 0.4. I'll try another large print tomorrow and see what happens.

ABS warping on the larger build plate.

So I am doing some experimental printing at the moment, seeing what works, and noticed that the ABS prints on larger objects ( fully side to side on the plate, but narrow in depth ) with raft beneath them tend to warp even if the plate is set to preheat at 100% and the plate is cleaned with alcohol ...

It's a lower part from an AN/PVS-14. One of these; https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRf7dQNgfPLjBA340ScViv_AlppKCkW-Gd6yPAr45mkPHFUfqh7 And yes, it's fully functional and replaces the part entirely. 100 micron layer, black ABS that had been sitting around in the humidity for mont...

Thin wall delamination?

Hi All, Just wondering if there's a way to correct for the amount of fill in a model - I'm finding that at under 2mm, the wall infill doesn't work so well and doesn't bond to the sides. As a result, these walls are a sandwich of two thin external walls and whatever fill going into the middle, and th...

Fantastic quality from UP300

Hi All, Just wanted to share the fantastic quality that I'm getting from my UP300, that is some cases outperform my resin printer. http://aunv.blackice.com.au/userfiles/david-AU-PVS14-lower.jpg That I can print 40TPI threads at this scale is amazing - the tolerances of the UP300 are truly fantastic,...

Re: Upgrades and Firmware revisions we'd like for the UP300

That's a good idea, but whether or not TT take it up is entirely up to them. I figure they'll read what we write and consider which goals they like and can be easily implemented, which they like, but require effort, and which they aren't really considering. Feedback is important, so if we don't know...

Re: new member having some probs with up mini 2 es

Hi Atticus, I don't know the Mini 2, I have a Mini which doesn't have a display, but it does have error messages show up in the software. I started getting "no SD card" type messages lately, but they are rare, and tend to occur after the printer is on for some time. I think there is a SD card intern...

Hi Owen,

That's a very good idea - An optional metal stand where you can store filament or even upgrade to hold multiple rolls of filament in the future...

I like it lower down though... But I can still see how in other situations, having it on a stand would be helpful.

Re: Ethernet connectivity and other problems.

Hi Brook, Thanks - On a suggestion, I connected to the printer via my phone hotspot and that works, so it seems to be a multicast/broadcast problem as the printer cannot connect to a direct IP address. And it seems as though these printers don't work well on Cisco WIFI 2.4G networks. :( This conclud...
