No, I don't think so. To this day I don't think I've read of anyone having a RP part fail.

Re: Filament Feeder Failure

The replacement feeder that I received now stalls. I installed the still working motor from my previous feeder (only the board failed on that one) and I get the same results. I am thinking of just designing a guide to attach where the feeder does and not having an auto feed. Currently, I have remov...

Re: Bulk Order for filament

My extrusion run of 0.070" filament is scheduled for tomorrow. Assuming everything goes well, I'll have several 5lb. coils of SABIC MG47 and MG94 ABS as well as HIVAL 5308M HIPS as a result. Is that filament that us Upers would be interested in purchasing? Have you done some previous testing with i...

Re: Bulk Order for filament

This is 2300 gr. This is 265º + melting point is the same ?. The spools are the same weight ?. And when we will do the buy ?. J. Where is that plastic from? I'd like to give it a try. As for when can we get the bulk order, I have yet to talk to PP3DP, they are still out for the holidays. I'll post ...

Is this an initial setup (first time)? If so, did you install the drivers?

Re: Bulk Order for filament

Wasn't PP3DP working on having plastic vendor's outside of China? I've been emailing them sporadically about it, but never really gotten a response. From the looks so far, just the people that posted, looks like we can get a decent amount in an order. Yeah, it really does depend on the price we get ...

Re: Cleaning up models

I think it might be safe to say that if it runs thru netfabb, it's most likely going to print alright. At least I hope that's the case.

Re: Filament Feeder Failure

Well, another auto-feeder problem has struck! Now instead of feeding non-stop, my feeder stalls all the time. Maybe I am using my printer too much? :D Going to contact PP3DP again about this. The only "abuse" it gets is that I might be printing too much, which I don't think is an abuse at all. Other...

Re: Bulk Order for filament

What would you consider "bulk"? Plastics vendors can be 100Kg+ realm to meet MOQ.... Bulk for me? Or bulk as a group? I'm trying to get at least 10 spools of plastic for myself and have another individual looking for similar quantities. Add in whoever else would be interested and it sounds like a g...

Bulk Order for filament

Has anyone tried to talk to PP3DP about a bulk order for filament? Is anyone interested in doing so? I am looking to place a bulk/pitch in for a bulk order here in the U.S. Have been printing like crazy and just trying to reduce costs where I can if possible. There's gotta be some give if we get a c...

Re: Cleaning up models

Great! but you can still see the lines in the UP! software? Yeah, lines are all still there. And I didn't even check the unsolid model option either. It's weird, cause most of the time prior to this experiment, the Up! would treat lines as an open space. I would get a print with chunks/bits missing...

That really does look a lot worse than you make it out to be. Glad your printer survived its beating.

Re: Cleaning up models

Here is an example. Meshlab reads it with no errors, and most other 3D printing applications (RRhost and RepG) can print this correctly.

Cleaning up models

Hey all, I've been having some trouble cleaning up my stl files. Even after running it thru netfabb/Meshlab I get these stray lines that cause the Up! software to view themas something different, ultimately ruining the print. The object is http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2088 , if one of you out th...

Re: New Up! parts on Thingiverse???

Think he is just reposting them? Seems to be slowly trickling them in though. Looking over the pieces, there doesn't seem to be any difference. Maybe he is just posting it there so now there are 2 places to find the parts?

Just my 2 cents...

Re: Removing the raft

Marcus, Are you letting your prints cool down for a good period of time? After I print, I put my platform into the freezer. I give it 10 or so minutes, and everything snaps off with little force. I only use the tools for removing internal supports/hard to reach spots. Other than that, things pop off...

Re: Filament Feeder Failure

Thanks ata0921, Sounds like you've gotten some good use out of yours. I haven't used mine nearly as much and it's not holding up well, I have a feeling it had a lot of in-house use before they shipped it out. Could you describe the symptoms of your bearings going? My Y-axis is starting to make some...

Re: Initial setup questions / Extruder alignment

I have another question... When I put my extruder head in center position with the maintain screen, it is not exactly in the middle of the platform. It is about 3mm off center to the right (along the extruder axis). So if I go to the far right position, the nozzle sits close the edge of the platfor...
