Re: Platform Temp reading 358 degrees

Just checked that connection and all looks good, next spot is the MCU I guess...

To make sure that the temp probe works, should I look to see if there is resistance across it or something along those lines? And if so, what value should it be?

Platform Temp reading 358 degrees

Hey all,

Helping a new uP!er set up their printer and the the platform temp is reading 358 degrees C. Never had this issue on any of my uP!'s so I'm not sure what to look for.

Suggestions/Thoughts/Solutions?

Ah, awesome! Glad to know someone else is getting a start in the personal prototyping/manufacturing business too. Still setting up stuff, but I'll be following suit soon.

Re: Makerbot

You know, looking around the forums, there are many of us active members that have been here from the early stages of PP3DP. It's kind of on us as much as PP3DP to plug the Up! where we can. The product is great and we are a testament to that. We can all be the "Bre" of PP3DP. There is no better mar...

I suggest you just countersink the plate and use nuts to hold it down.

Re: HELP - Extruder Jammed Up!

I have the exact same issue. I am currently soaking the hot-end components in acetone to just clear everything up. Upon removing the stepper gear cover, there was a decent amount of plastic build up in the teeth of the gear. Gave that a good brushing and went at it with compressed air. I've been ema...

Great write-up Marcus, I am glad someone else is promoting the use of sketchup! It really is an awesome tool with the proper plug-ins and really intuitive and easy to use.

I am also interested in what you can offer in terms of bulk pricing on the plastic as well as what other accessories will you provide.

Re: Extruder Woes

No, I didn't do any of the temp change mods. I also thought it might have been the drive gear for the extruder stripping, but I cleaned it out with air as best as I could and the filament had no signs of stripping upon removal. I took off my nozzle and gave it an acetone bath and it started to print...

Extruder Woes

Having some issues with my extruder, it seems to be struggling to get a consistent extrusion. As it turns it makes a "clunking" noise and you can see the inconsistency in the spurts of ABS it extrudes. Taking apart the extruder, everything looks as it should and turns smoothly when powered off. I am...

Re: Red UP!+ for sale!

Have you tried getting a replacement from PP3DP? What happened to it? Were you doing anything in particular when it ceased to function? Opened it to try and diagnose a problem?

Re: Request for features in the UP software.

The patch for raftless only works around the initial raft. The secondary/dense layer still prints. But all those suggested would be welcomed ones.

Re: Filament Feeder Failure

Alright, this is getting a little ridiculous. I've now been through 3 auto-feeder failures. Only thing I could possibly be doing wrong is printing too much. The latest replacement sent to me from PP3DP did not even last 24 hours of printing. It had the same issue as my last feeder motor, the gear as...

Re: WINUSB.DLL error

Yeah, seems like the latest version requires you to actually have the printer to check out the software (or at least be able to install the driver). Def go and try an older version to get a feel for things.

Re: Address for PP3DP

Yeah, it had to be a photocopy of the SSC, didn't have a choice. Did some snooping before send though, doesn't look suspect. Just weirded out that my package was held up this time and not any other time before. We should still post the address somewhere just in case someone else needs it in the futu...

Re: Address for PP3DP

Yeah, they asked for a copy of SSC. I used the address for the Up! store which is the following: 11/F.,AXA Centre,151 Gloucester Road,Wanchai,HongKong. Should have kept papers from past orders, but I do remember reading similar address as the Up! Store's. Hope I am right and if not, hope the discrep...

Address for PP3DP

Anyone have the address for PP3DP/Delta Micro Factory Corporation? Need it to submit to customs and all. THANKS!

Also, never been contacted by customs before, but does customs require you to submit a copy of your Social Security card?

Re: Combine separate STL files into one STL file

I personally use Google Sketchup with some plug-ins, visit my blog in my signature area and visit the Google Sketchup section. Download the import and export stl plug-ins. Let me know if you are unclear with anything if you do decide to use Sketchup.
