Re: New 8mm Nozzle

I have purchased the nozzle!

I also had my extruder replaced as the one I had broke.

Can someone tell me the best test piece to print so I can compare the old and new nozzles?

Re: Perf board warping

Lol - no worries. I don't think I've heard of anyone snapping one before - good effort! I only had two when I bought mine (2nd hand) - but can't say I've seen any warping issues. Tbh, now that I have changed the bed over to glass/aluminium for raftless printing, I can't see myself using them much f...

You should have received 3 with the printer - are all 3 warped?
Oh yeah good point!

I snapped the first one (long story haha) and I am on the second one but after a while it begins to warp.

Are there any good alternatives? The perf boards are $30 AUD each.

Perf board warping

Anyone having issues with the per board warping?

Is there any way to fix this or do you need to buy a new one or is there a better product out there?

I am using the V2 of the new heat bed.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Filament types and brands

It would be a good idea to create a list of filament brands, types and temps that have been tested and used with the Up Mini! Is there one out there or should we start one here?

If you post which ones you are using I will add it in this post so it can be at the top of the page!

Cheers,
Stefan.

Re: UP studio software queries/suggestions

Excellent points made. I gave the new Studio software a go and personally I am not a fan (the current software is better). The newer software is hard to navigate around and I can't bloody find simple options. A few things I have requested in an older post and the original post here has requested. - ...

Clogged in an area unsure how to clean??

Looks like PLA is clogged between the nozzle and where the filament extrudes into. I tried to extrude ABS through but doesn't come through the whole way. What is the best way I can get to the PLA to clean it out? Can't attach photos for some reason so will link to dropbox. https://dl.dropboxusercont...

Software feedback and ideas for Mac

After owning an Up Mini for 3 months I would like to give some feedback and put forward ideas for improving the software. The Up Mini is a great little printer and have had heaps of fun with it. With some tweaks here and there I finally have it printing perfectly (mostly due to the V2 heat bed which...

The Up MIni only have one button for the light which stays on for around 5 minutes then turns off.

I purchased the V2 board as well but still need to install it.

I rather put something in easily rather than modding the board which will void warranty.

Re: Anyone have any good idea for webcam MODS?

Great idea! But how do you keep the chamber lit constantly? This is what I do, mount a wifi windows 10 tablet in front of the printer with a 3d printed mount. Setup Wifi, turn on Windows Remote Desktop connection. Get a OTG micro USB cable with secondary charging port as the tablet only has one USB....

Re: Anyone have any good idea for webcam MODS?

@matchpoint
Not sure how the above hack can help.

@brainzilla
Need to find a way to mount the camera and a way to keep the chamber lit up or light up on demand.
Any camera really, just one that will do the job.
