Re: Infill/Perimeter

Was there ever an answer to the infill not reaching the edges? I am trying to print a 2mm thick wall using .25mm, but both the inner and outer wall of the box have detached from the infill. A 1mm thick wall fuses ok, so is it possible to tell the UP! to print 4x 0.5mm lines rather than 2x 0.5mm + 1...

Re: Spares for UP! PLUS when replaced by new model

Keep in mind you do get a one year warranty with a optional extension, so that should get you through most 'spares' issues at least for 2 years...

Re: Printing hollow disc with clear PLA

Many thanks for posting the images, Madox. I'm slightly concerned that the parts aren't as clear as I thought they would be. More translucent. The parts also look quite stepped. I wonder if polycarbonate would be clearer? I've seen postings about printing with this material. Fall back plan is not t...

Re: Missing support in software

Hi, I'm not sure what the problem you described is. I have not downloaded your STL, but I suspect you might attempting to print thin walls. The slicing performed depends on the 'Fine'/'Normal'/'Fast' setting, and as a general rule, any feature or wall smaller than 1mm may not slice correctly and wil...

Re: Printing hollow disc with clear PLA

Note that you can't see any discolouration on t he big one, it depends how long your print is and how far your initial z-height is. A 3-6mm print doesn't take long so i don't expect any problems for you.

Re: Printing hollow disc with clear PLA

If you can get pass the 'extruder gets too hot, jamming at the gear issue'... - I don't think you'll get any significant distortion if you print then 'flat'. If you print them vertically, then the bottom side of the circle will be different to the top. The internal lattice structure would not look a...

Re: Customised extruder feeder design *No Moving Parts*

Hi All, Here's my little contribution, though not quite finished/tested yet. Have added baby fan for cooling instead of compressed air, and made a few slight mods to Drew's design to all for more pressure (as I intend to print in thermoplastic rubbber). Will do a bit more work on it over the weeken...

Re: Extruder skipping AGAIN!

Setting the Z too close to the nozzle can create back pressure and I've seen the skipping or clicking you describe, also I recently after a long print with ABS switched to a new Polycarbonate material and when I hit the "Extrude" the motor did not skip it slowed to a halt, I was able to get it goin...

Re: Customised extruder feeder design *No Moving Parts*

Nice use of the pen clip! I have an extruder project that i'll probably never get around to.... if it isn't too much to ask, can you adapt your design to work around the current overheating issue as well? i.e. perhaps a fan mount on the other side? :) Pleaseeeeeeeeeee? :) PS : Do you know about 'Rob...

I recommend Alibre Design, they have a trial and evaluation you can download.

The price is very reasonable as well for the features available.

Re: Extruder stops working

OK, so I wanted to post a report here, because I had exactly the same issues as described by the OP. Filament stopped extruding. After trying all the different things mentioned above with no luck, I read up there about the filament diameter. I calipered the different spools; a previous working fila...

Re: "Platform TOO Hot" Error

My connector between the heater cable and the motherboard has an intermittent connection problem. This is the connector at the back of the arm. I've been lazy to 'fix it properly' and have simply resorted to duct taping it down to avoid movement of the platform from moving it. When/if the connection...

Depends what you term infant.

Personally I would not give it to any child who has a tendency to put things into their mouth's for example.

I would say 3+?

If you have a bronze statue, you might be able to make your own STL.
