Re: New V5 CPU doesn't work with old software
Update: Tiertime Support is being helpful here. I am using V2.11 of the old Up software and they suggested I use the newest version of the old Up software which is V2.16. This actually yielded a different error. This time I was able to extrude plastic and do a normal setup, but when I sent the "laye...

New V5 CPU doesn't work with old software
I've owned Up Plus for many years and have been using the old software because it's really efficient and easy for me to use. The Up Studio software is just too bulky. In addition, it prints a lot differently and one part that I make takes 40 min with old software and 1hr 20min with Up Studio. I rece...

Re: Up Plus stops printing
I never solved it, but I started printing it at a different layer height and it works fine. It's supposed to print fast at .35mm but it has that stopping issue, but if I print at .30mm it's perfectly fine like there is no problem. If I go back to .35mm though, it happens at the same exact spot in th...

Re: Connecting multiple printers to a printer server
I've contacted support regarding this before. They did not have an answer for me. The best I've seen is that you can plug all of them into one computer and Studio or the original slicing software will recognize that multiple serial numbers are connected and lets you choose.

Someone else told me that these are the temp sensors that are used, but I'm not 100% sure:

I found switches that trick the extruder heater into thinking it's 20 degrees cooler

Re: Up! Plus and Afinia H480 - spare parts, replacement parts
Apparently there are Tiertime shops that people need to know about where you can buy new parts: Amazon seller name is "Tiertime UP 3D Printer"- https://www.amazon.com/s?marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&me=A3QIROMK5FR2J4&merchant=A3QIROMK5FR2J4&redirect=true eBay seller name is "tiertime-usa" - https://ww...

Can you please link us to where you buy the heat sinks? I'm very interested in getting some.

Re: Extruder Stepper Motor not running
I have one that would stop pushing out plastic randomly. I replaced the extruder motor, it seemed to work for a day, then it happened again. My next try will be to replace the nozzle. I'm thinking that deposits may build up in the nozzle and prevent flow.

Re: [BUG REPORT] upbox+ dont extrude filament
These printers never were really able to do PLA. The extruder stepper motors get too hot and eventually distort the PLA too much before it gets pushed out the nozzle. It'd happen to ABS too if it didn't have a higher melting temperature.

Here's a Chinese parts supplier of Up! Plus and Afinia replacement parts - https://www.aliexpress.com/store/718699 I've made a few orders with him, so he's legit. Up! Plus and Afinia H480 replacement heater connectors. The connectors on both the extruder heater and platform heater are identical. Here are links for buying them (no I am not a shill for this company): Part numbers are in the URLs listed Male Terminal: https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords...

Up! Plus and Afinia H480 - spare parts, replacement parts
Hello, as these wonderful printers age, they will break down and you will need to replace parts (obviously). Unfortunately, they are obsolete and parts are getting harder and harder to find. So, I am starting this thread to develop a good list of replacement parts so we can keep these machines crank...

Re: Burn Marks on print.
This situation seldom occurs with current tiertime filament This unfortunately is true. It's been going on since the first Up! printers, which is unacceptable. I once 3D printed a part for a client in Up!'s natural white (that came with printer) and it had burn marks and the client was like "WTF, t...

check out their printing specs. I believe I read a while back that T-Glase, which is similar, needed a .8mm nozzle.
