Re: Octave Enclosure

I just got an Octave enclosure. Can you share the STL files for your filament guide? None of the ones that I have work.

Re: UP software Mac 2.0 is available

If you open the "maintenance" mode on a Mavericks 10.9 machine and leave it open for more than 30 seconds, the Mac 2.0+ software will lock up. Does it all the time for me. That problem is not exclusive to Mavericks nor to version 2.0 of the Up software. I often get a freeze when I leave the mainten...

Re: UP software V1.16 and Mac V1.3

I'm still waiting for basic temperature controls. We've been asking for it for over a year.

Re: TOTAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Actually, we really do need this. With lots of different ABS and PLA from various sources, you need to be able to print at slightly different temperatures, sometimes even within the print. With the open source printing software, this is trivial to do. This is the #1 reason why I might just sell my U...

Re: Release of finalised v1.18

When you set the platform print height, the software no longer does a test print and asks you if it is ok. Because of this, the height is wrong. It used to be, after it did the test print, it added some X amount so the platform was actually slightly lower than what you had told it (when measuring wi...

Re: Release of finalised v1.18

I can`t find where i setup support height? I believe you are looking for the raft height which, according to the release notes in the announcement on the forums today, has been removed: 5.Removed the option for raft height, and fixed the height to be 7 layers. WTF?!? Removing actual features?

Re: Leveling screws

The three screws act like a tripod. So you'll need to level each corner and then keep going round clock wise to check, you might need to go around checking each point a few times, making small adjustments on each screw. I've done this. The three corners with screws are level. The fourth corner, wit...

I have three. The problem is the far right corner is lower than the rest always, even when I get the other three to the same height.

Re: Leveling screws

If we're supposed to have three only, then how do I get the corner with the hole and no screw/spring to level? It is significantly lower, when I measure, than the rest of my platform. That seems to be why there is a hole for a screw and spring there, right?

Re: FEATURE REQUEST

The biggest issue for me is the inability to control extruder and bed temperature. Some filament is more sensitive than others and I need to be able to run, at my choosing, between 230 and 260 C for ABS. I need similar control for PLA. The ability to turn off the heated bed for PLA would be good.

Re: FEATURE REQUEST

Please allow us to disable the beeping. I want to use my printer at night and it is waking everyone in the house and annoying the neighbours. I really don't want to disconnect the speaker as this would probably void my warranty. Print this and put it over your speaker. It takes 80% or more of the b...

Leveling screws

I was wondering why I was having so much problem with prints on one corner of my platform. On inspection, I realized that one of my leveling screws and springs (the ones for that corner) were missing. I'm not sure that they've ever been there (might have fallen out during shipping). It looks like it...

Squeaking in bearings?

I'm getting some squeaking, I believe on my y axis where the extruder hangs, as I move back and forth on some prints. It sounds like some oil or grease is needed. I'm not sure what should go in there or even, frankly, how to get access to the bearings but it is definitely noticeable and has been gro...

Aluminum or other build platforms?

The perforated board for printing kills me. It makes it impossible to print without rafts. I'm considering getting a piece of aluminum or similar to have a smooth, heatable, build platform like many other printers use. Does anyone know of a good source for aluminum of the right size? Basically, the ...

Re: PLA sticking to raft

Thanks everyone. I'm using an Up! Plus so I'll try turning the vent so the air blows across the PLA. I'll also try printing on blue painter's tape raftless, which I used to do with my makerbot. I actually have some PLA from another supplier on order to see if it might be the PLA that I'm using. (And...

PLA sticking to raft

I've been working with blue PLA lately and I cannot get it to let go of the raft, no matter what I do. Even If I try to pry with the edge of a knife, the raft is permanently bonded to the bottom of my PLA models. (Of course, when I print with ABS, I have the typical curling problems.) I'd love to pr...
