UP! Plus for sale...Starting at 99GBP

Hi all, Thought I'd let you know I'm selling my UP! Plus on ebay (UK) - have not had time to use it for a while now, and could do with the cash towards a PS4 :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UP-Plus-3D-Printer-in-perfect-working-order-Make-top-quality-3D-Models-in-ABS-/261326417161?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_Pr...

Re: Laser cutter?

I just meant long con in the spam sense ... that is they post many vaguely valid posts so they get past manual moderation before bombing the site with a hundred spam posts... but yes, may also be a scammer. I'm positive whiterock is a spammer using forums like this to increase traffic to his websit...

Re: How is STARATASYS uPrint Plus compared with the UP! Plus

Maybe we can wait for this http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zortrax/zortrax-m200-professional-desktop-3d-printer?ref=recently_launched but only if the claim is true. That machine looks really promising :) The only thing I didn't like (if I understand correctly) is that the USB port is only for f...

Re: New Up Plus 2 is Coming...

The one in the middle does not seem to look good. There are gaps. The idea of this option (now I've seen it in action) is that you can print single wall items such as this bracelet: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:47349 Where the outer surface of the model is created by a single pass of the extrud...

Re: New Up Plus 2 is Coming...

Actually I bought it, opened the box and found some issues, returned it to the store without using. I can ask them to give me a new Up Plus or get the refund and wait for the Up Plus 2. Any suggestion? My understanding is that the UP! Plus 2 will be a bit more expensive. If the latest 1.19 software...

Does anyone know what "Thin surface print" of the 1.19 software means exactly ?
Is it single-wall layers ?

Re: Spam fighting...

User JasonRain is reposting other people postings. This user has spam in his/her signature. They are getting pretty clever now ! The only way to make not worth their while would be to remove links in signatures or posts until they have been approved after a number of posts. What a nightmare though ...

There is a whole industry out there dedicated to this That is quite scary then...real people registering on forums, reading the posts and replying with something barely relevant, all to get a website hit :x If I were littlejons archery supplies and had paid someone to do this, I'd be ashamed of mys...

Re: Small search words

It's not too difficult to add a google search box to phpBB

Maybe the admin could look at implementing it? A decent search may cut down on all those repeat questions :?

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] preview of calculated support

I'm beginning to wonder if the nozzle's path (ie, offsetting the shell, creating support and fill structures) is calculated on the board and not on the host PC, therefore drawing a preview on screen wouldn't be that trivial and would involve a lot more USB data traffic. I say this after reading abou...

- given many people using the printer are from the enthusiast community such as various Hackerspace groups, most (if not all) of them run Linux, so we better port the program to Linux to target this large market +1 for running from Linux although I feel any platform other than Windows will always l...

Re: Up! Software new releases for both Windows and Mac

It just happened again! The extruder dove into the part at the end of the print. No pause this time though. Any ideas? Sounds like data corruption, try the SD card replace or re-seat trick and removing the USB cable once the print data has been sent. Could also be grounding issues... Fixing USB mot...

Re: Classes for beginners

The course sounds good if you are actually interested in the mechanics, electronics and firmware side of those kinds of 3D printer. Otherwise I'd be tempted to go for a purely 3D CAD course, buy an UP! Printer and read the manual...anything you need help with on the printing side, ask here. I think ...
