Re: Up Plus stops printing
Same issue. Thought I'd fixed it today by changing the SD card, but it stopped halfway through a 3-hour print.

Re: Afinia stops during prints
Was having the same problem, solved it by replacing the SD card.
Update: nope, it stopped an hour and a half into the print

Re: SD Card error in 2018
I removed the SD card, cleaned the contacts, and replaced it. Now I no longer get the SD Card Error message, but the print still stops for no apparent reason, with no error message, after correctly printing about 3 layers of the raft.
Thanks,
Julia

Re: SD Card error in 2018
Hi Elaine, I haven't used the printer in about 6 months. The last time I used it, I had no problems. The problem first appeared today when I tried to print after installing the latest Up Studio. Now I get the error every time I try to print, after uninstalling Up Studio and reinstalling Up software ...

Re: SD Card error in 2018
I have the same problem. I use my Up Plus 2 only for printing one part, and in the past always with Up software 2.12 because it gives the best result for me on this part. I had a PC hard drive crash last year so I lost my install of 2.12 and today decided to try Up Studio again. After slicing and up...

Re: UP BOX just arrived
Wow, 30% faster than the Plus definitely piques my interest, assuming we're talking 30% faster than the Plus's "Fast" mode speed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: UP BOX just arrived
No, not really - no way to judge the speed from that video. It'd be nice to hear from some experienced Uppers with comments like "Seems about 50% faster than the Plus" or "Doesn't seem any faster than the Plus" or "This part took 4 hours on the Plus but the Box did it with the same quality in 3 hour...

How about the much-vaunted speed increase?

Re: Consistent air prints
Sorry, I don't have a photo of the stock mechanism handy, but here's Drew's spring-loaded feeder showing the bearing. In the stock feeder it's in the nylon piece rather than on a pivoting metal arm, but in the same basic place, next to the drive gear with the filament in between the two. http://www....

FWIW, my biggest complaint with the pause feature is that the pause settings are not saved in project files

Re: 1.19 Software
Not sure what you mean by "base". If you have a 10mm cube and you want to change color halfway up the cube, enter 5.

Re: 1.19 Software
Sure, many times. Remember you do not have to worry about the raft, the software takes that into account automatically. Just measure from the bottom of the part in your CAD software.

Re: 1.19 Software
Taking measurements off my CAD program has always been accurate enough for me. I'm not sure whether simply dividing a distance by the nominal layer thickness gives exact results.

Re: 1.19 Software
My calipers and CAD system measure in mm, so I'm fine with that. Who wants to count layers??

Re: "Printer is Disconnected"
I haven't really started any deductive debugging yet, figured I'd ask here first in case it's a known problem. If not, I'll start testing individual variables to try and isolate it, thanks.

"Printer is Disconnected"
OK, so this could be hardware, but since it's only started happening since installing v2.13 software I think it could be software. There are some threads here about people having permanently fried their MB's due to static discharge and therefore getting a "Printer is Disconnected" message - that is ...

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime
Censoring implies they fear the other product is better. The other product is currently better because you can buy one today. With that in mind, it's understandable that pp3dp would prefer to have its exposure minimized so that people will still have their printer-buying money when the Up Box becom...

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime
There was once a very long thread here (started by me) on the subject of that larger-format printer that we both own. That thread and pretty much any other reference to the printer in question was deleted by pp3dp some months ago. I don't blame them terribly... their censorship is actually a lot les...
