Re: Printer won't turn on

Turns out thus is most likely the table heater shorting. Getting a replacement from the reseller ( 3dprintingsystems.com )

Printer won't turn on

After leaving the printer alone for a few month, I went to print a part today. Everything started great, until mid print, the printer lost power. I turned the power off at the power point and on again, and everything seems ok... until I went into maintenance and press "table heat 1hr", and the power...

Re: Experience with new windshield update.

Hi Olaf, The same parts printed using the same settings after changing the windshield, with the same amount of pre-heating, presents no warping. The only factor that changed has been the wind shield. Support material snaps off for me with both the new and old wind shields, that has never really been...

Experience with new windshield update.

Hi Everyone, I printed and attached both updates at http://3dprintingsystems.com/support/ (click updates). While the new head cover is fine, the new wind shield causes consistent warping, on parts that didn't warp before. I strong suspect this is due to the increased cooling as a result of the new f...

Re: UP software V1.16 and Mac V1.3

It is a bad idea to name the zip file blah.app.zip, since when unzipped it becomes blah.app, which OS X then thinks is an application. It is great to see improvements, esp the 3D print button in the toolbar! That said, font and colour items are still in the toolbar - shouldn't it be really easy to r...

Re: I like to know Mac Users

More thoughts:

Having used the windows version, the Mac interface is, IMHO, better designed, especially when it comes to positioning objects manually.

If there is to be synchronisation between the Windows and Mac user interface, please lean in favour of the current Mac interface.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: I like to know Mac Users

Some more thoughts: Status would sometimes say 'Send: X/Y Layers' where X>Y, e.g. 'Send: 201/200 Layers'. This is probably just a fence post error. There should be shortcut keys for switching to top, bottom, front, back, left, etc. views. It isn't obvious how to manipulate the view port beyond rotat...

Re: I like to know Mac Users

Firstly, thank you for making the UP! software cross platform! It was one of the many considerations that resulted in our lab's purchase of UP!. The MAC software produces prints as well as the windows version, but the interface isn't as polished. Some feedback: The print icon in the toolbar doesn't ...
