[FEATURE REQUEST/BUG FIX] Raft overlap.

This may have been addressed in 2.0, but if not: I would like to be able to place objects close together on the build platform and have the rafts combine automatically without having to "Merge" the parts together. Once Merged, the parts can't be "Un-merged" and moved individually. (and sometimes I f...

[FEATURE REQUEST] Multiple printers on one computer

I'd like to be able to use multiple printers at the same time from the same computer without disconnecting the USB cables. I now have three UP!s of various ages. One original Up! plus, a later UP! plus, and now a black friday UP! Plus 2. I'd like to be able to run them off the same computer. I have ...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] firmware fix to prevent head crashes.

That's a great idea! I've had this happen to me a few times and this feature would have saved the part. As it was, the part was for an extremely time sensitive project at work and having the hot-end try to bury itself in the freshly completed project was unfortunate.

Re: Move Error Layer: HELP!

It's failing agian. It looks like it was a limit switch error. The part failed at at about the same height as before. Here is a screen shot from the inspector. MoveErrorInspector.jpg It says, "Move Error" "Position X(-79) Y(61) Z(112)" "SYSTEM_STOP AT LIMIT SYSTEM PROGRAM STOP | Move Error | Program...

Re: Move Error Layer: HELP!

Thank you everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. The last two prints have not failed, however, I'm not sure why. I used some compressed air to blow out any debris that might have gotten in the printer frame. I moved the printer out into a more open space to help airflow and tried a q...

Re: Move Error Layer: HELP!

Thank you very much! I'll try improving the airflow to the electronics. Have you made any changes to the airflow since then (like adding a fan)?

Move Error Layer: HELP!

Hi All, I remember seeing a few posts on this subject a while back but have been unable to find any that help with this frustrating issue: UP! Plus with stepper filament feeder V1.18, V:6.04/F3.00, Windows 7 Home. Manual Limit Switches (Not optical) My printer, a UP! Plus with stepper filament feede...

Re: Power output for extra fan

On my older Up! Plus that port is used for powering the filament feeder (with stepper motor). I pulled this from the User manualV1.0 which seems to pertain to the older brushed motor filament feeder: NOTE: Different version of the Up printer have different power supply requirements! 1. if the printe...

A great list! I agree with most. A few more wishes, if I may: Shift X coordinates of initial raft layer lines -Could you please shift the initial raft layer line's X coordinate a little bit each print? On my Up! Plus the lines on the first layer of the raft (going in the Y direction, left-right as y...

Re: Up! Software new releases for both Windows and Mac

It just happened again! The extruder dove into the part at the end of the print. No pause this time though. Any ideas? Sounds like data corruption, try the SD card replace or re-seat trick and removing the USB cable once the print data has been sent. Could also be grounding issues... Fixing USB mot...

Re: Up! Software new releases for both Windows and Mac

Hi Guys, Another question about version 1.18: Running Windows. Up! Plus. The pause function. I paused the print to take a look at something. However, when I went to resume the print nothing happened. I hit the button (resume I think) and nothing happened. The print nozzle tem didn't change. I waite...

Re: Up! Software new releases for both Windows and Mac

One more thought, if you'll humor me. When printing multiple parts during the same build, if the parts are moved closer together than the autoplace places them, their rafts overlap. There is still plenty of clearance between the parts, but when printing the rafts, the printer prints both rafts and o...

I'll love to try to print that, but printing a whistle is not my ultimate goal here. Can you give me a link to the whistle file? Thanks, +Blake [quote="pp3dp.nl"]The info box problem was one of the reasons I did a lot of printing with 1.15 so great this was changed in 1.18. Have you tried printing t...

Re: Up! Software new releases for both Windows and Mac

Indeed, rotating the models for the best print, and designing the parts themselves for manufacturability, in this case with the UP! 3D printer is second nature. However, I am confused as to why everyone is fighting so hard to keep this limitation and not have an option to disable supports entirely, ...

Re: Up! Software new releases for both Windows and Mac

Hi! Thanks for the Update! I'm printing out a test object now and look forward to seeing the improved fill spacing. Do we need to update the ROM for this new update? I just bought my second Up! printer as a backup for the first. Sometime in the future can you please add the ability to disable suppor...

Re: Customised extruder feeder design *No Moving Parts*

I just found this thread yesterday and am modifying my extruder right now. I'm using the "Pilot Precise V5" pen which needed a just a bit of bending to get the spacing right. It is an awesome design! I'm looking in my bin of CPU fans and I found a few that you guys might be interested in. I picked t...
