The stopping mid-print problem

Not a lot seems to be happening about fixing it, but here's a bit more information. I too have had the problem and haven't been able to figure out exactly how to fix it but today I think I might have narrowed it down to the UPStudio slicer. I had a couple of parts that just would not print out no ma...

Re: Stopping mid-print

I'm getting the same problem, but I don't think it's the ribbon cable. It seems to only happens with things that I design myself in Solidworks, other STL's seem to print without a problem. Do you have any other suggestions please? I'm using the latest Studio software, Windows 10, and my printer is t...

✔︎ UPstudio nozzle temperature [SOLVED]

I've had a look in the software and a bit of a look around the forum and there doesn't seem to be any way to change the nozzle temperature.
Is there some other way that I don't know about?

Re: The old 2.18 software is broken

A good suggestion, but when I checked there was no problems shown.
I'd still really prefer to use the old software as I can run the temperature dll and so bring the temp down to make other filaments print better. 260° too hot for non-UP filaments.

Re: The old 2.18 software is broken

A minor bit of additional information - When I tried installed 2.17 on this PC it came up with the error message "could not load drivers" or something like that. I went to the driver folder and tried it manually, it still failed. Is this problem something to do with a W10 update? I really would much...

Re: The old 2.18 software is broken

It's Windows 10 Pro, build 1803. The printer is the original UP from about 7 - 8 years ago. It was all working fine, nothing changed, then the software would hang on starting.

The old 2.18 software is broken

I'm having to use the later UP Studio software because my version of the old 2.17 - 2.18 freezes when I start it. I've un-installed it then re-installed it but it still freezes before the main window opens. The only odd thing it was doing before the big freeze was that it'd sometimes open with STL f...

Re: Up Studio

I can't see it being better at the moment in any way than the old software.
It's more difficult to use, the various buttons are cryptic, and there's far fewer vital functions.

Firstly just seeing if I can reply, then secondly I'd like to find out how to fix a problem with this forum - I can't stay logged-in. I have to log-in every time I visit. Can this be fixed please?

Re: Measureing in the Up Software

The only other way I know of is to open up the part in a CAD program and measure it that way.

Re: WORKING: SOFTWARE TEMP MOD - ADJUSTABLE LAYER HEIGHTS !

Okay a hiccup found. Loaded everything up, pre-heated the platform & print nozzle, then hit the print button. A beep or so, information gets sent to the printer, all just like usual, then when it comes time to print nothing happens and the print nozzle just cools down. WTF is going on?? Doesn't seem...

So how do you download it?
I right-click on the .DLL file and it saves as a web page.

Edit - found a copy, never mind.

Yes it works well! Thanks very much. :)

Re: Print stepper motor playing up

Maybe a wire in the ribbon cable has a small break in it, from all the moving back and forth of the head when it prints. Or maybe the ribbon cable connector is not making good contact with the socket. I would think a wire that supplies the power or signal to the extruder stepper. Well bugger me tha...

Re: Print stepper motor playing up

It's printing right now, but only a small-ish part on the left side only. Working just fine. I had to swap over the filament and as a test I moved the extruder over to the right side to retract the filament, again it stuttered until I moved it over to the left side. The wiring and plugs all seem fine.
