Re: My review of UP Box+

Thanks for your continued updates on this printer. I started out with, and still use my Up Plus 2 printer I bought six years ago. I have tried a couple newer printers with various other slicers. While most other printers do a great job with PLA and PTEG filaments, they just don't compare with the re...

Re: Losing Connection during print 100% of the time

My Up Plus 2 has been doing this for the past couple years too. It is most likely a hardware issue, but it does not seem to affect what is already printing at the time. I just reboot the machine after every completed part and it automatically reconnects without having to restart the software. I have...

Printer Disconnected After Initializing Print

I have an Up Plus2 printer that has been working great since I purchased it in 2013. Virtually no problems, other than the very occasional clogged nozzle. Lately though, I have been having an issue with a "printer disconnected" problem that occurs only after the print has started. The printer still ...

Re: FEATURE REQUEST - Material Calculation

I agree that the material calculation function is only to be used as a general guide. In this case, I think there was actually a glitch in the software that occured. The part actually printed with about the calculated amount but the software warned me that I was going to be at -52gm after the print ...

FEATURE REQUEST - Material Calculation

It has been suggested in previous threads that the material calculation when printing includes the part, raft and support material. I have consistently been using way more material than the Print calculation estimate shows. I know that there is an issue wih the software not being able to account for...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] power save

Another software feature I would like to see is having the nozzle and table temps on display in either the lower Status Bar or in the Standard view panel at the top. That way you don't have to keep pulling up the Maintenance panel to see what the table temp is to start your print. Maybe even better...

Re: Raft Sticking to Part

I had to make the same 2" diameter flat bottom part again and tried something different with the STL file to keep the raft from fusing to the part. I simply drew a .020" flat disk, the same profile as the part and spaced it .060" below the part and unattached to it. Basically, an extra disk in thin ...

Re: Raft Sticking to Part

Thanks for your response. Your Z-axis control and warping theory makes good sense. The area where the raft was fused to the part surface was toward the outer edge where there was some warping. The perfboard does a fine job of securing the raft material, but is apparently a bit too thin to resist dis...

Raft Sticking to Part

In general, the rafts have been easy to remove from most parts. However, my last print of a flat 2" diameter part had the raft sticking heavily to the part surface. I managed to get it removed but not without great effort. Is there a setting for raft density in the software, or is it determined auto...
