Re: UP MINI

Overall, purchasing a Mini has been the most disappointing purchase I have ever made
Buy a Replicator 2 - you won't believe how good it is.

Re: Replicator2

The resolution on this thing is unbelievable. I can't see any layers on the fine setting.

Re: Replicator2

They have a new slicer - Miracle Grue - which is 20x faster than Skeinforge.

You can download the software here

Re: Replicator2

Hope that pp3dp is working on something like this!
They should have gone bigger, but instead went cheap and small. I think they will regret that decision.

Re: Replicator2

I've just bought one. The delivery date (here in the UK) is 25th October. It was the same price as an UP! Plus.

Re: up! mini.. how does it compare in printer speed?

Could you print this.

I had it sent to me as a sample made on the 3DTouch. It'd be great to compare them.

Thankyou !!

Re: Afinia 3D Printer

This is a bit confusing. Three printers which look identical, but by different manufacturers :?

So which is the best one ?

Just trying some unofficial coloured ABS on it today
Are the models printed at the Mini's highest res ? (i.e. 0.25mm)

Re: up! mini.. how does it compare in printer speed?

Does this mean you have one ?
How did you get one when they're not available yet ?

The release date keeps getting pushed on and on :(

Re: up! mini.. how does it compare in printer speed?

the best resolution of the Mini is only 0.25mm where the UP! plus is 0.20mm
AAMOI would you be able to see the difference ?

Also, the Mini has a 'snap in print head'. What is that exactly ?

Re: Compairing cubify to up, any thaoughts?

I don't own an UP! yet (waiting for the Mini to come out). Has anyone done something similar to this with the UP! ?

(just wondering how it compares)

P.S Julia, you might be interested. The guy who writes the blog uses MOI. It's a VERY nice CAD program.
