Re: Up! Plus wont initialize properly after dropping.. :(

It wasn't in warranty, by 3 days! I emailed the nice people and Denford (which I believe is the UK's warranty provider) and they said they'd look at it for me, but I needed to ship it back to them and remove the print head etc. Which was fine, albeit expensive, so as I removed the print head I notic...

Up! Plus wont initialize properly after dropping.. :(

Hi there, So I was just about to do a print; turned on as usual, initialized fine, set the nozzle height, set the table 1 hour heat in sw. While that was heating up I loaded my STL and started the print. The instant it finished transferring to the printer, the fan went off, and the steppers turned o...

Stegosaurus!

Time lapse of the UP Plus print a Stegosaurus model!

The printer is modded with a 13 ohm resistor to reduce the temperature to around 220'C and using Barsoom ABS from Amazon.

Re: Hello from UK

Yeah it is a bit of a shame, I'm thinking/working out whether a digital potentiometer, mini arduino, couple of push buttons and LCD is worth doing to set a target temperature that offsets.

Would seem a waste if a new firmware that has the option get's implemented!

Re: Hello from UK

When you are not concerned for dimensional accuracy you can use the Autodesk 3D priting tool to thicken up areas that are too thin. I am about to post photos (as soon as Flickr comes back up) to show the results/differences in one model example here: http://www.pp3dp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=...

One to keep the missus happy...

So loving my UP! It's awesome! It's main purpose is definitely successful, already done 2 working prototypes in 2 days! But still, my girlfriend is not amused with me spending £1500 on an up and rolls of ABS ;) so; http://www.oxfordcreator.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/DSC_0117.jpg Hopefully tha...

Hello from UK

Hi there, I took the plunge and bought an UP! Plus. Spent a good hour tightening bolts, aligning things, etc. I was having issues with disconnecting and reconnecting "dong dong" noise constantly in Windows 7 so also spent about an hour grounding a few components; the main motherboard to the chassis,...
