Re: Is my printer faulty?

Hi Haj,
What brand and type of filament are you printing with? I have seen this plenty of times before on my up plus, your printer could be quite fine.

Raft separation

Hi All,
Is it just me or is the raft a little difficult to remove in the latest version of software?

Time remainning

Hello,
Just a couple of points;
1. Would it be possible for the GUI to show the time remaining after[print again] has been selected?
2. Could the timer start only when the first layer commences?

Cheers,

Re: Extruder problems

Hi Twcartmill,
A couple of question pop to mind.
Have you been able to print with this plastic previously?
What sort of plastic are you using?
What temperature/percentage is your extruder reporting during the print?

Cheers,

Re: What CAD/3D software do people use?

Your talk of parametricism (drawing from mathematical formula) caused me to take a second look at Invent ... now I look at it, seems like it might be largely derive from the old basic Alibre CAD which was about 5 times the price from memory (and acquired by 3D Systems). It was pretty good ... ipso ...

Re: What CAD/3D software do people use?

I use CorelCAD, mainly because of the price. I looked around a lot for an open-source product when I started and tried Cubify's software, but it just didn't seem precise enough. How is Cubify's software imprecise? I feel this way about Sketchup sometimes because all curves are horribly simplified i...

Cabling problems

Hi All. I successfully fixed my Up! today, but I thought I would share what I found; Symptoms ; Common; Extruder fan intermittently would turn on and off. Rare; Printing would cease but power to the printer would remain on. Fault finding Method and Diagnosis; I suspected a cable fault due to the int...

Re: Extruder not heating up

Hi Nuproto.
Did you replace the entire assembly or just some parts? I have run into this problem before with the up! when the joints on the heater element had
broken due to heat stresses.

Cheers,

Re: What CAD/3D software do people use?

I use Cubify Invent exclusively. It's cheap, good tutorials and is easy for me to use. I found it after tinkercad was first winding up and I haven't looked back

Antonio,
Well done! I m really interested in your print bed, I imagine there would be some significant energy/waste savings with your method. How do I get myself on a test list?

Hi,
I have it printing no problems at 250 deg on my UP. I would love to know how to smooth it though, its not much point being food safe if you cant make it glass like.

Poor customer service from Bilby CNC

I would like to share my customer service experience that I had with Bilby CNC over the last 9 months or so. Over all I think the company has much room for improvement in terms of customer service. I have bought both a 3d printer and a 3020 CNC with them, yet I find it almost impossible to get in co...
