I have tried everything, including installing earlier versions... So what version of the software are you using now? I can't find ...

Re: Communication Error
In many cases when the printer is not recognized by the computer it is due to a bad CPU board on the printer. How long have you had your printer? is it under warranty still?

Re: Up Plus 2 Nozzle Height Error
Most UP! Plus 2 users, including myself don't even use the auto nozzle height feature, we just do it manually.

Well some people, such as myself prefer the matte finish of the original UP! filament.

Re: Software temp vs hotend temp
Try rubbing some Canola cooking oil on the pla before inserting it into the extruder, so far it has worked for me and I have tried several different brands of PLA and even on 5 hour long prints...

Although not the best choice, I have used Arctic Silver Thermal Paste and it has held up pretty well for me...

Apply a thin coat of Canola cooking oil on the first several inches of the PLA to see if it helps, it works for me.

You can use Zortrax Z-ABS filament, it is the same as the OEM UP! and Afinia filament!

Re: WORKING: SOFTWARE TEMP MOD - ADJUSTABLE LAYER HEIGHTS !
I tried the temp mod with the Ebay stuff (GBB) and I can't get it to act right at all. I'm not sure why out of all the temps I've tried I cant seem to get one I like. I've included a snip of my screen, maybe someone can see something wrong. http://pp3dp.com/forum/download/file.php?id=2196&sid=160e9...

Re: Spring Placement on Z Belt
The problem isn't with it going forward or backwards, but the problem is with it going up and down. I've done a little bit of research and I guess this is a tension spring, but I don't know where it it supposed to go on the belt that makes the print bed go up and down. This is the belt I'm talking ...

Re: Spring Placement on Z Belt
You can place the spring anywhere on the belt so that it doesn't hit the front or rear pulleys, you may have to take a few tries to get it right. Install the spring then pull the platform table forwards and backwards (with your hand) so that the platform table can move fully to the front and rear. I...

Re: Hatchbox Filament
The UP! OEM filament has a higher extruding temperature than aftermarket filament such as Hatchbox. The UP! (and Afinia) filaments extrude at 260-270 degrees celcius and most aftermarket ABS is around 210-240. Zortrax filament is the only other filament I am aware of that extrudes at the same temper...
