Re: Inital Printing Errors

Hello all! I did back it off a bit, .2 in fact. Just a warning to anyone using the Afinia sheets on their build bed. The auto level for the nozzle height seems to low. Now the initial layer is OK. But I am still having the failure about 1/4 inch into the model height. It made it into the first hour ...

Re: Printing Soft Spot

OK, I get to post a reply to my own question. It seem as the belt grip was loose, and the metal spring clip was in the wrong spot. I had to go in and tighten a few things up, and it is printing better. Not as perfect as my other printer yet, but i am dialing in the issues. I hope this helps someone!

UP Plus 2 Auto Level

Hello everyone. I am lucky and just picked up a barely used Afinia 480, also the Up Plus 2. This is actually my 3rd printer from the Up! family. Unfortunately it did not come with the auto level components. I am hoping someone knows where I can buy one, or even help me with a bit of information so I...

Re: any for sale?

I am thinking of selling my printer. I purchased it back in Feb. and thanks to a solid work schedule I have not had time to enjoy it. I have actually printed less then a spool of plastic. I think it would be better if this goes to someone who will use it more often. I am located North of Baltimore, ...

Autodesk 123D

Hey Uppers, Unfortunately I have not been able to use my printer for a while, due to traveling. Hopefully by the time I get home everyone will have the bugs worked out of the new software for me, and it will be a painless upgrade! Today I stumbled across a new free software. It's the Autodesk 123D. ...

Re: HELP-perfboard won't work

One thing I noticed is that your Perf Board has metal contacts for soldering. Try using the basic perf board with no solder spots. I picked mine up a local radio shack for about 5 dollars.

Good Luck!

Re: Checklist For New UPers!

Just wanted to give my thanks for this Posting. I think something like this should be a Sticky! If this had not been here, I would have been totally lost on where to start with my UP!!

Object Material Not Enough

Hello everyone, First let me start off by saying thanks for such a great forum! I am a new owner, picked up my UP! a few weeks ago, and when I am home I have been printing when I can. Today I encountered a new error, and since the words of the error are too "common" I had no luck searching for the p...
