Re: Sensor Connection Error

Hi!

I have a question for the UP Plus 2 owners. Is it still possible to use the printer if the leveling sensor is not working? In other words can you still run it like a normal Up plus and adjust the platform by hand. Or does the plus 2 require at least one automatic leveling?

Thanks!

Re: HELP! I lost voltage to CPU!

yes... the small power supply is plugged in and it has 5V. There is also an LED on the main board that lights up when I plug it in (the LED is close to the plug)...but the LED on the CPU board stays dark and only gets 0.3V....

Re: HELP! I lost voltage to CPU!

Thanks for the input, Julia! :) I turned the mains power off and it did not help. Voltages on the main power supply are OK (around 20V)....the steppers are holding...all fans are running. It's something in the low voltage circuit which is powered by a separate 5V power supply. I know a little about ...

HELP! I lost voltage to CPU!

Hi! I have one of the early UP's...still the V1 with the separate driver boards. Software 2.0. I have not used it much...so far I only used up 1 and a half rolls of filament. Today I was printing something and I noticed that the raft lifted...so I stopped the print. Then for some reason I could not ...

Netfabb update was a big mistake! Need help!

Hello! I recently updated my Netfabb Studio basic version 4.2 to the newer version 4.9. It turned out to be a big mistake... 4.9 can't even repair my simplest models anymore. I tested it with several older files where I still have the initial and also the repaired version (->repaired with 4.2)... 4....

Re: wall smoothness question

Tanks for the replies. I will get the updated extruder mount.
I still don't understand though why the straight part is smooth. If I would have any wobble it should be bad, too....right?

wall smoothness question

Hi! I have an issue with the wall smoothness of my prints... Please see the attached pictures. This is a 2 part submarine from thingiverse. I printed it with 0.25 and normal speed. I also used the V10 wind barrier with door open. the part was printed standing vertically (thin end at the top). The st...

Re: Heated Build Chambers

Hi! just wanted to share my "build chamber"... It's a wooden frame with acrylic walls. In the back I have a built in "activated charcoal" filter system with a 3 speed fan. With the speed setting I can influence the chamber temp. The intake air is pulled through the openings in the front door close t...

Re: UP! Software and ROM v1.17 Final

Hi! Just installed 1.17 and new ROM on my 1st generation UP! Plus with old motherboard. So far so good...it's still working! ;-) I do not have a wind barrier yet...it seems with the 0.15 resolution this is recommended. Should I use the V10 or the V11 which comes in the parts folder of the 1.17 updat...

Hi!

Could you please post the exact setup settings for the bracelet?
Also, is it the smaller one or the large one?

Printer box

Hi!

Just finished my anti-fume printer box...this way I can have the printer in the living room. A hose is routed from the fan on the back to the outside.

Re: Initial setup questions / Extruder alignment

Marcus,
would you mind sharing the instructions from pp3dp how to fix your raft removal issues?

I'm really curious and I think it would help us all to understand our printer better!

Thanks in advance!

didn't PP3DP mention somewhere that the minumum wall thickness has to be 1mm or something like that, otherwise it will not be printed?
I can't remember where I read that...

Re: Head Crash!

I wonder how much heavier the bigger fan is...?
The extruder head moves extremely fast sometimes and additional mass could have an effect on the machine dynamics.
Just a thing to consider...

Re: Head Crash!

I'm not really sure if you even had a crash which "pulled" out your heater element. Couldn't it be that the clamping got loose over time (temp cycling) and the guide was literally "pushed" out by the extruder? I cannot see a way how a crash could have pulled that guide out without bending anything.....
