Re: UP! ABS filament in Multiple colors
I have installed the temperature switch from Octave.com ($20.00 USD) and it works great. It is easy and inexpensive solution (it take just a couple of minutes to install) to lower the temperature on your Up you might want to consider the Octave solution. Here is a link to the switch on Octave: http:...

Re: UP! Software and ROM v1.17 Final
The new V1.18 has the same problem - the temperature is 195 - 10 degrees higher then V.1.15 which is around 185.
I wonder why they would up the temperature by 10 degrees when most PLA works well at 190 or below?

Re: UP! Software and ROM v1.17 Final
I also have had stringing problems with PLA on V1.17. This is on an Afinia machine. I now only use V1.15 for PLA. I did notice one thing and I have tested this a few times t make sure that I know what I am talking about, the V1.17 heats up to a hotter nozzle temperature then the V1.15 by 10 degrees....

Re: UP! Software and ROM v1.17 Final
I have noticed on my Afinia that when using V1.17 verses V1.15 with PLA that the temperature is 10 degrees higher with V1.17 (200 with V1.17 - 190 with V1.15)
I use V1.15 with PLA due to stringing problems with V1.17 perhaps the 10 degrees makes a difference?
