Re: Filament Kompendium

Re: How to use?

Hey Andreas, just convert the tabs to spaces, either manually or with an online converter... like I posted in the other thread :-) http://tabstospaces.com/ if that one does not work for you, there is also a Plugin for Notepad++ http://sourceforge.net/projects/tabstospacesnpp/ or http://linux.die.net...

That looks really great. I was thinking of building a spool holder for larger spools, this has some great ideas implemented.

Re: Extruder Temp MOD

Looks very nice :-)
Fortunately I have the old UP with trimmers... But an external solution like that would be great.
Part of the magic with the UP is the reliable combination of quality oem ABS and the printer, but it really limits the possibilities.

Re: Filament Kompendium

Re: Filament Kompendium

Re: Raft - can it be thinner?

You can set "No Raft" in the recent versions of the UP Software.
Else if you have trouble seperating the object from the raft, print it thicker with the vent open and let it cool.

Re: how do you water tight a sketch up model?

Hello Mec, also consider using the free version nof their Netfabb Software, while not as simple as their cloud service, their repair tools can fix simple errors easily. It also shows where the problem occurs, if you want to fix it manually. Also Meshlab if you like to tinker. What problem occurs, di...

Re: Whats your answer to the Printed Gun Question?

I tell them that right now it's more dangerous for the person who tries to pull the trigger, and that every new technology has been used for criminal purposes. Right now more people where harmed by the invention of the press then by home-made guns. Everyone capable of operating a 3d printer and able...

Hello Dougie,

what Woofy was referring to is that the original replacement parts are in that (older) software version's folder.

Re: Trouble with support structure

How steep is the angle, what support settings did you print with?
And again, why do you want to print it standing? The rods will be less rigid.

Re: Trouble with support structure

Interesting! I'd lay it on it's side to make sure the rods get stable enough and don't consist of little slices but continuous rows of plastic.
Then you should get support if the settings are right.

Please post your results, I want to see it :-)

Re: 3D printed functional loudspeaker - what will be next?

Interesting, there was a 3d printed circuit again the other day too. I follow these projects with great interest, though printed electronics gets hyped every now and then - and then you don't hear from it ever again. Wasn't there a company half a year ago that announced a breakthrough regarding prin...

Seems like the OEM stuff :-)
If you order some other ABS, make sure to check for reviews and measure the filament diameter of it to avoid clogging the nozzle.
