Re: Changing temperatures in UP Studio for Up 300
Hi, 270C is the correct temperature for the Tiertime ABS, ABS+ is 274C I think. This is higher than most other off the shelf ABS Filaments. I've Printed over 4.5kg of ABS and ABS+ and never had an issue with temperature so I'n not sure why you're getting burn marks. If you have a new machine and it'...

Re: Strange noise and behavior from the calibration tool during printing
Hi, I had the same issue wen I got my printer. The issue is the servo hitting the fan bracket and resetting constantly. It seems to sit in a slightly different location during print than during initialization and calibration. I fix this to save the gears in the servo, my solution is here: https://ww...

Re: An unexplained feed failure. No mechanical failure this time.
Okay, I didn't realize. I was following the instructions from the seller.
Regardless the PLA head has been working with ABS for a long time now. I guess I can't use this head for PLA anymore if the PTFE is damaged but I've never tried printing PLA with this machine anyway.

[Bug Report] Can't use external Gcode
Hello Tiertime, When following the "UP Studio G-code Tutorial.pdf" instruction I can't the printer to start print. Step 8 of the instruction simply states to "add the Cgode into Up Studio". When I try this I first get the warning: "Run File: *.GCODE? Warning: Improperly formatted G-code may damage t...

Re: An unexplained feed failure. No mechanical failure this time.
Hi David, I had a similar issue a while ago where it would stop extruding mid print and this was happening consistently. My issue ended up being the extruder motor itself. At first I thought it was the IDC cable going to the head but this was not the case. The motor was simply intermittent and would...

Re: up300 with external slicer
I only get errors when I start to print. Something about unknown command. I wish there were some more detailed instructions from Tiertime on this. I'd like to know if a gcode steam is sent from the PC or a task file is sent to the printer first? Can it run over wifi or should it be USB connected? Ar...

Re: up300 with external slicer
I just tried using Simplify 3D with their trial version but I didn't have any luck. I followed the TierTime instruction exactly as per the PDF (using upbox+ settings) but when I went to import the G-code it just showed an error. Something about unable to recognize command. I don't know if it needs t...

[Bug Report] Slicing error on specific file
I've been trying to print a STL file that I created myself but there is a weird slicing error happening. This makes the part unprintable at 0.2mm layer height. This bug is applicable for both 2.5.32.461 and 2.6.4.627(Beta) version of up studio. When I slice this file at 0.2mm layer height, layer 27 ...

It's working for me too. I'm running windows 10 64-bit
Maybe try to uninstall completely the old version first and then install again.

Re: Does the auto calibration only work with up studio or can it work with simplify3d?
I'm pretty sure the print surface is "flattened" when printing the raft using the calibration data. So I don't think it works with external Gcode or even if not using a raft.

[Bug Report] Slicing Preview Slider Bar faulty at end
This is only a minor bug but when previewing the print I can't inspect the last few layers of the print. The slider bar towards the end seems to jump to the last layer too early and all of the last positions on the bar only show the last layer(layer number is shown correct). A model I'm looking at n...

Okay is seems these posts get confused if you try to attach more than one file. Works in the preview but then it gets confused.
I'll try again with the settings:

Re: [BUG REPORT] Vertical Blob lines
Hi David, I've done allot of printing but usually in 0.1mm not 0.2mm and not seen this issue until recently. Note: This is in ABS+ not ABS but I don't know if the material difference has as any effect. My settings are all the default setting on ABS+ except I'm using stable supports. That model howev...

[BUG REPORT] Vertical Blob lines
When printing large diameter circular parts I'm noticing a vertical line of blobbing. The photo below shows the blob line on the outside of a part but I've seen this in other parts too. IMAG1959.jpg This part is hollow and the same line is on the inside too. As you can see it's also not consistently...

Re: Fantastic quality from UP300
Hi David, Thanks for sharing, those threads look great. I've had some issues with internal supports falling over and causing print failure but apart from this I'm also getting excellent results with my UP300 and I've been printing allot. Have you tried 50um layer height yet? You need to use the 0.2m...

Also when adding multiple inline attachments to this forum they seem to be muddled up and not upload properly. Hence pics above are not in the correct order.
