Re: X Idler broke.

Yeah, we have very strong consumer protection that goes far beyond the manufacturers warranties in most cases; however the local vendor seems to be out of business. Website is down, no replies to emails, and as mentioned before after calling them in January where they said they would ship a new prin...

Re: X Idler broke.

Sorry for any misunderstanding. If you purchased the printer directly from the reseller in your region, then they must cover 1 year warranty. Your printer's serial number 231xxx shows in our record had already passed one year which had already been shipped out from our factory in China. Please try ...

Re: filament not feeding on print

Do you level the printer while the bed and printhead is hot? Both expand and will cause less clearance when hot

Re: Up Studio no longer sees Mk II usb connected

Its listed inside the driver .inf file, but what you listed does match a entry there. Thats kind of good news, most likely printer is working, and identifies itself correctly to the computer. But you're obviously still having issues with Windows. The usual remedies include disconnect the device, rem...

Re: Up! Mini 2 + Duet electronics! (Linear rails and real hotbed!)

With the printer well and truly hosed, I moved my attention the the CNC router, with duet electronics and some general TLC I got it running, and if we ignore the odd apprentice marks and wafer thin sections that should have some meat to them I got the pockets for the N35UH magnets milled out, and re...

Sometimes the internet is a funny place; even Google (gmail) think Tiertime support could improve their response time

Re: Up Studio no longer sees Mk II usb connected

If you open the unknown device, and look at the properties, the details tab will have a pull down where you can select hardware id. List the VID and PID for the unknown device? Or proceed to open the .inf file in the provided drivers and see if you can find a matching section. Alternatively change t...

Re: my print has bumps

Is that the finished print, or aborted raft?

In any case I would start by checking if the nozzle or hotend is jammed and clean it out.

Re: Extruder stepper makes chugging sound

If you dissasemble the extruder and try extruding filament without the heater and nozzle attached you can get a feel for how strong the motor is, just take care to not let the loose heater burn you or anything else as it needs to be attached to allow the extruder to turn after its reached printing t...

Re: Micro Holes

Are these the beta versions they release, or proper releases?

Unless a beta version (or even a proper release for that matter) addressees a specific issue you have I would simply skip over those, from reading this forum they cause more issues than they fix,

Re: Up! Mini 2 + Duet electronics! (Linear rails and real hotbed!)

Not yet, the belt and idle pulley for the axis that moves the bed broke, and while my quick fix let it get back to work the damage to the belt was so severe it completely failed after a while. And its a weird GT1.5 fixed length belt with matching idle pulley + some other proprietary bits that broke....

Have a look in the Windows Device manager to see if the printer has issues with the drivers?

Re: X Idler broke.

Finally got a response to the support ticket. And you guessed it, no the printer (nor my Tiertime account) is not more than 1 year old, sometimes I wonder why I bother trying. Local vendor who promised to replace the whole printer in back in January seems to be out of business, looks like this is th...

Re: Filament coming up during printing

If the plastic comes out straight I doubt there is a problem that is solved by cleaning. Unless reduced flow is the culprit. In any case just unscrew the nozzle with the wrench included in the box. Should be a spare nozzle as well, the old can be easily soaked in Acetone to remove ABS or Ethyl Aceta...

Re: Filament coming up during printing

I know others have success with acetone, but I wrecked my flex boards for the Up Mini 2 with acetone - so try a small area in a corner first if you use acetone on the flex board. The perfboard can take it no problem. Both are okay with Isopropyl alcohol

Re: Filament coming up during printing

Try cleaning the nozzle and tell printer to extrude into air. If the plastic doens't extrude straight down but still curls up it could be indicative that the orifice of your nozzle is damaged, or hard to clean.

Re: Problems Sticking to Bed

Are you sure its acetone, and pure? Could be the flexboard i got with my UP Mini 2 is different, but one I wiped with acetone deliberately, but as I saw the paper came off black I knew that was a mistake; it instantly became very brittle and the surface cracked on the next print. The second I was st...

Re: Problems Sticking to Bed

I use(d) flex board for both abs and pla, despite what tiertime said I found it to work better. I wipe it with isopropyl alcohol every few prints. Do not use Acetone on the flexboard, will destroy it.
