Re: Print head constantly jamming, and i can't find why.

Thanks for your answer brunningm. And I think you are right, the teeth of the wheel are too blend now. I need to replace it... Not sure where I can could find this piece... Do you have a local vendor? Have a look on Tiertimes site for resellers by region - https://www.tiertime.com/regional-resellers/

Re: Print head constantly jamming, and i can't find why.

One of those teeth on the drive gear looks a bit worn....in the middle where the filament would be grabbed. The second picture towards the nozzle end. There might be more. If they are worn, they won't grab as they rotate past the filament, which will cause it to skip, and the next tooth more likely ...

Re: UP Studio 2.5 BETA Released, with Material Profile Manager

Hi Folks, We just released UP Studio 2.5 Beta, and the main feature is the Material Profile Manager (MPM), which allow users to tune the filament performance in detail. You can download the software from our website , and the how-to document from here . Questions here: After this MPM feature is rel...

Re: The old 2.18 software is broken

Check device manager and see if there are any yellow triangles in the hardware section. It could be driver conflict issue.

You can uninstall the drivers directly there, then try and reinstall again after a full reboot.

Can't guarantee anything, but possible starting point.

Re: Create Custom Filament Profile in UP Studio

Tiertime, You've had settings for different nozzle diameters in Studio for what, 18 month now? Yet I've not seen one for sale, ever. :| Do you actually make them? Cetus doesn't count, I'm talking UPBOX, Upbox+ and MINI2 here. Any information much appreciated. :?: Cheers, Owen S. I'm currently using...

Re: New software available! UP Studio Version 2.4.22.351

Hey Owen, The Task file contains the pre-sliced layer data, so you do not need to slice the STL again. As long as your printer profile matches the printer profile in the Task file, you can print it directly from the Task file. You can save the Task file in a USB stick, so the printer can print it d...

Re: Where to buy steel nozzle?!

Hi guys I'm new to the forum. I've recently brought some bronze filament and needed a steel nozzle to replace my copper one. The two I brought of AliExpress (dirt cheap) had the wrong thread and I can't seem to find ones with the correct thread. It needs to be the same as the 8mm V5 head like this ...

Re: PRINTS STICKING TO RAFT - NEW THREAD

I've been having some problems with the raft with the 2.3.23.135 update. Though not sure if they're the same as yours. Larger flat surfaces are fine, but smaller surfaces tend to fuse with the top layer of the raft. The top layer of the raft pulls away from the bottom layer of the raft too easily ca...

[Feature Request] Magnetic Build Plate upgrades

Hi All, So I came across this looking for some build surfaces - http://www.the3dprinter.com.au/buildtak-flexplate-system It's actually been out for a while, at least 2016 judging from some reviews. Basically, it's a metal plate that is glued down to the print bed, and then a second plate with the bu...

Re: ABS Adhesion Solved with a hair dryer....

Hey, had a watch. I don't print ABS much, but I've never needed extra heat on the upbox+. Possibly the Upmini just doesn't have the voltage to heat the bed and the chamber quickly or maintain it. Never used it so I won't weigh in =0 One thing I noted on the video is the four parts at the end which h...

Hmm, I find it odd that two printers suddenly developed identical issues.

Curious to know batch numbers of those steppers.

Hello, I have a Quant 3D printer, it works with UP plus 2 (firmware: V3.22). The 3Dprinter doesn't work and it writes this message: Move error. Err code 002; X positive limit error. Please, Can you help me to solve this problem? Check the microswith for the X-axis, might have something stuck in it?

This would be a nice addition to the gcode printing, instead of having to tune each print individually.

✔︎ [Bug Report] Preview pausing print bug return [SOLVED]

As per title.

Version 2.3.23.135 of UPstudio has a recurrence of an old bug from a previous version.

If a print is running, and you load a new STL to print preview, the currently running print pauses.

Re: 3, yes 3, new TT printer models!!

I'm curious about the gcode implementation on the newer models. Are we going to see direct communication from third party slicers or a similar system as now - exporting gcode from slicer and importing to upstudio? If the first option is being looked at, any chance it will make itself available to th...

Re: Problem with the first surface next to raft

I'm going to agree with the temperatures being a bit too high. Basically, the raft top layer isn't cooling enough, and the bottom layer of the print is sinking into it. It's a very fine balance sometimes, but try lowering the temps by 5 and testing. I know it's ABS, but maybe also try keeping the fa...

I don't know if it is a similar issue, but the new captcha system is borked. It's taken me a couple of days to get it to load the captcha at all, then it takes so long the captcha expires and it doesn't recognise the correct solution. I'm honestly not even sure why a captcha is needed, I can't imagi...

Re: [BUG REPORT] G-code print: M190 command (wait for bed temperature) not working properly

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't work. Not too much of an issue on lower temps, but annoying if you want hotter ones.

Best bet is to run a preheat before sending the gcode to your printer.

Re: 3, yes 3, new TT printer models!!

Interesting. That continuous print model would be good in a commercial setup. Not sure I'd trust it though seeing how hard it is to auto-level my Upbox but...maybe they've worked some kinks out. They appear to still be using the same printheads that are currently in use, so still no E3D style nozzle...
