Re: Nozzle temp reading 398, bed temp 127!

Unplugged print head fan, plugged again, temps went down. Weird. I did check all cables, everything is in place , unplugged, plugged back in... How can a cable go bad if everything looks in mint condition? There's no sign that there's a tear or disconnect anywhere in the system. Even weirder that bo...

Re: UPStudio Change Log

Auch :( i'm sorry for that man.
My mini just threw the error and after i restarted, printing was going fine as before.

Not entirely sure what's going on or why features that look like they can damage stuff are half implemented.

Re: UPStudio Change Log

There's no option specific for gcode. Click the + to add a file and browse to your gcode. It will ask if you wanna run the job, say yes, it will directly start heating and preparing for the print but might error out. If we don't get the change log for the beta version we don't know if it should work...

Re: UPStudio Change Log

beta 1.9.0.3 runs GCODE :D :D :D :D

Or spoke too soon. Load GCODE, run - bed goes to the back - motion system error on the mini2.

Re: Borosilicate Glass Sheet

I'm using normal 2mm thick glass for some time now with blue tape on it and it's the most awesome thing ever. Didn't crack it yet and i've made a few so i can swap them. The Mini2 doesn't heat up the bed so much (i got around 60C highest) so it doesn't have heat issues like the glass expanding/crack...

Re: polysmooth issues

I did print polysmooth on the up mini 2, not on the up box yet as it's under revision. It printed well, no clogs or jams/extruder clicking however... i printed without the top covers. Even had a 10h print going without any issues at 0.2 layer height. Try to print this again with the top cover open a...

Re: Up Software supports configuration

I tried :) but doesn't work, tried with harder wire as well. It's because the hole for the thumb is practically filled up from bottom to top with support. snip2.PNG This is what a stopped print looks. Supports were fully turned off, it didn't put any starting from the build plate however the hole...

Re: Up Software supports configuration

Tried some more, no support was generated for the print itself, however it put again support in the holes. Tried all the possbile combinations, 10degrees support, no support enabled, 0 cm support area ... nothing preventing the software to fill up the holes. Guess we can only print cubes and toys wi...

Re: Up Software supports configuration

Thanks for the reply! I have one question though, when choosing the support angle, isn't the thinking behind that if i chose 60 for example, it will generate supports if the angle is 60 or above? I didn't try 10 yet but i tried everything from 40 up and with 12h prints...takes a while to figure out ...

Up Software supports configuration

hey guys, Quick question about the supports that are being generated automatically with no choice from the user. I'm trying to prin https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:242639/#files for example... I chose angle to be 60 degrees, 80 degrees, even less, tried with No Support or support enabled but no ma...

Re: Pla filament recommendation and what temperature?

I got very good results with Polymaker Polymax. From Polymaker this one seems to print best. Haven't tried polysmooth yet. There aren't a lot of PLA brands that print on UP printers. The problem is that the feeding assembly gets very hot due to the motor and the filament is not fed anymore, gets str...

Re: Burn Marks on print.

Are you printing at the right temperature?

Had this on the up box and it was due to the fact that i had very small pieces of filament curling up from the build plate and the nozzle was picking them up while passing again. Make sure your plate is leveled and your fan door closed for ABS.

Re: Filament balls up on print head, Print head unusable

You can get the printable parts for your printer from here - http://www.tiertime.com/support/download I know they are in the installation folder as well but didn't check. As far as that happening again...why did it happen in the first place? Did the print got loose from the build place and got stuck...

Re: Preheat is INSANELY slow!

Same here. I guess the Up Mini 2 takes forever to preheat due to a small power supply? Not sure if it's a good comparison but my Up box takes 5 minutes to reach the temp while up mini never reaches 100%, more like 82-92%. If you look at the powers supplies for both... Didn't actually compare real da...

Re: Support removal

After testing some more the last update that improved the raft removal, i can say the same MakerTree3d. From what i've seen UP ABS is still hard to remove rafts while PLA is awesome. I've also tested with third party materials and those also work a lot better to remove rafts than the UP ABS. Seems t...

LOL ... move the print where there's no holes :))) that's funny ... no need for 20x25cm build plate, rebuild the up box to 5x5cm...

I'll mail support as well as this seems somehow forgotten.

Re: Build plate temperature

Seems it doesn't do it every time. Gave it some time and started it again, worked normally. Checked the cables under the platform as well, if it keeps doing it, i'll have to take it apart and see what's going on.
