Re: CPU upgrade for older models

Hello, what i can say is that it's not possible anymore to use 2.18 version with my Up mini 1st gen , only Up studio ... As i was not able to use preheat in Up studio , i decided to put the old cpu back and make an " wifi sharing box " with an Orange Pi mini computer and now i have my up mini shared...

Re: My modificated UpMini

Hello, i've ordered a 3rd party CPU so that i will test it :D Anyway, i'm very interested in knowing how Heady has dealed with this matter of bed levelling with the mini . In the worst case, i can always modify the current bed to have something better in terms of level . I'm very satisfied with the ...

Metal pad on stepper motor for magnet

Hi all , it's the third time that the little metal pad on stepper motor used to maintain it on the magnet falls apart . I use some classic " rapid glue " to put it back in place but it doesn't last very long with the temperature and the vibrations i think . This time is use another glue which should...

Re: Problem in printing some parts

Hi , my clearance between nozzle and platform is less than a sheet of paper so i thinks it's OK but as pointed by dario.t and in my previous post , the temperature is the key : i test a quick print yesterday evening with 20°C more on all layers and the result is much better than before .

Re: Problem in printing some parts

Not sure but the fact is that i've tried with an ABS i'm sure about it and the result is the same . I think i will give it a try after recalibrating the platform . I used to have a 0.2mm clearance between bed and nozzle but as i have a Bluetak film on my platform , maybe the clearance is a bit too h...

Re: Problem in printing some parts

hi , material is ABS for both print at L1 235° / L2 230° / L3+ 220° ( softmod ) blue one is from Velleman, black one from Esun . Enclosure is always closed , bed at about 80° ( temp mod ) and almost same conditions ( 20° in the room ) when printing . I also didn't change nor redo the platform calibr...

Problem in printing some parts

Hi there , as you can see , it seems that something is missing on the blue parts ... it looks ok on the black parts . I use the same print parameters for all parts . Could someone tell me why i have this result in my blue parts , looks like one layer is missing to "close" the part :| blue parts are ...

Re: Question about size correction

Hello,
my cad file is very basic , nothing simpler than a cylinder with a hole inside ...
And yes , outter diameter is ok ( 0.1mm is ok for me ) but inner is 0.5mm from original size so my question is about that difference .
Do i need to apply a coefficient when designing holes in my parts ?

Re: Question about size correction

@robin : internal printed diameter is 22mm for 22.5 at original drawing , so a bit more than 0.1mm on diameter ... ;)

Question about size correction

Hello there, yesterday i've printed a very simple part on my Up Mini with ABS and soft temp mod . The part is very simple : a drilled cylinder with 30mm ext diameter , 20mm height and 22.5mm int diameter . I measure the part after printing , height of 20mm is perfect , ext diameter is 29.9mm , let's...

Stepper gear removing ?

Hi all , after a lot of print , i would like to make a deep clean of the stepper system , especially the motor as it seems to have a lot of melted plastic behind the gear . Could someone tell me how to remove this gear ? Thanks in advance. http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2016/01/20//mini_160120090955...
