The bed height seems to change by itself so I am going to try the suggestions I have read about maxing out the bed springs before manual calibration to minimize the hysteresis of the springs.

The little metal tab for nozzle height calibration was stuffed back into the housing (which I discovered after the calibration procedure jammed the nozzle into the bed...

If you hear the side panel vibrating, check the filter. I found after about 3 months of heavy usage the filter needed changing. Hah!
