[Feature Request] Make Studio require an axis to be clicked when rotating parts.

Dear support, As per my email to you (I don't know if you read emails or this forum, probably neither), can you please change the behaviour of UP Studio so that when using the rotate part dialogue it is required to click an axis to change the rotation of the axis to the one selected? The reason for ...

Re: I'd like to Upgrade our CPU's but...

There's definitely something dodgy going on there, when I bought the CPU upgrade back in December it cost USD 71.

Re: Failed overnight prints

Could it be the extruder getting too hot and the hobb gear losing traction? I found if I had the print bed too hot and the top closed that I ended up sometimes with air prints, then after adding a heatsink to the side of the extruder stepper the problem was solved. The Up Box + has a fan to cool the...

Re: ABS curling from perfboard

If it's a new printer then the perfboard may still be a little "new" and perhaps has some manufacturing schmoo still on it, have you tried cleaning the perfboard with some acetone to make sure it's not got anything on it?

For prints to be curling on the second layer that's quite severe.

Re: Problem with my raft! Anyone can help me???? :)

I've seen stuff like that when I have levelling settings that does not contain a zero point (on of the boxes with zero in it), make sure one of your levelling points is zero and reference very other box from that point.

Haha, there's a million features we're desperate to see that are in Simplify3D and not in UP Studio, and Tiertime have ignored every single request.

Re: Please Close Front Door

Great stuff, glad you're up and running again. Note that the door short-out option is great until you upgrade the CPU, then the printer needs reinitialising before it will print again as it expects to see the door opened after a print before it will accept another job. I can see why this has been do...

Re: Please Close Front Door

I found the door sensor a complete pain so got rid of it by shorting out the bottom two pins on the board that the door switch is connected to. Note the top pin is a voltage rail so should not be shorted. I have a push to break switch so can imitate the door being opened if I want. I got the details...

G-code printing

Hi,

In OSX Version 1.6.0 the App Store release notes say "G-code printing!".

Can you please explain more about this? I can't find any specific options and gcode files are not opened.

Thanks.

Re: I love my glass bed, but how to fix screw holes unslicing

Email support, they don't really acknowledge or measure any issues from this forum but they do respond to emails to their support team. I have mailed them several times on this issue alone and they are starting to think it might be a problem.

Re: Raftless print problem

See here: https://www.up3d.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=55635 It's been reported to TT via email and they don't think it's enough of an issue at the moment, so I suggest you email support to get your opinion heard too, as they don't necessarily monitor this forum the only way I have found to g...

Re: Nozzle heater V4 vs V5

My new v5 nozzles arrived from Denford today. Here a comparison of the new nozzle (left) with the old v4 nozzle (right). I printed a benchy at the weekend on the old nozzle, I have the new nozzle printing now and will print another benchy on this for comparison as soon as I have a few other prints o...

Re: Nozzle heater V4 vs V5

So we can just buy these? https://www.up3d.com/?r=product&sn=12012

Personally I never had any issues with the extruder stepper overheating and have printed the latest printhead cover.

Edit: Although $40 for shipping two tiny nozzles to the UK is taking the mickey.

Re: Up box flex board printing

After seeing the issue was still in OSX 1.5 I again mailed support, and they tried printing raftless too, noticed the blemish where the hole skip had taken place, and said that their solution was to move the print to a different part of the bed where there are no holes! I've responded saying that so...

That's strange, because on 1.5 OSX it's become much easier for me!

I'm using 3rd party filament, on standard ABS settings with an UP Box CPU upgraded.

Has anyone managed to find a supplier of replacement HEPA filters yet?

Mine is 18 months old now and I can't seem to find anyone who stocks them or anything like it from a third party. Not even the UP3D store has them!

UP Studio for Mac 1.4.1 always pauses on 1st layer

UP Studio seems to have been updated on my Mac, now whenever I issue a print the printer pauses on the 1st real layer, after the raft. There is no "pause at layer x" option in the new Mac version, so it looks like there's some incompatibility between the UI and the slicer. I have also suffered sever...
