Re: So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

Hi Sik, You mention that layers are not sticking together, parts are weak. This could be under extrusion. It is hard to say whether the filament or the BOX is the problem. When you buy the UP BOX there should a roll ABS included, was that roll of plastic worked for you? If you are printing UP filam...

Re: So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

I know where you are coming from, but please don't assume because I may not have a full grasp on something that I'm some lame that just thinks that magic is how things work. I have dealt with plenty of people over the years of doing custom cars that believe that it happens by magic and I donlt wish ...

Re: So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

If I tried to print a large rectangle I would expect the raft and first solid layer to stick, then subsequent layers to lift at the corners, go on lifting with every subsequent layer so there was no chance of a good open weave layer to de-stress it. Question: Have you tried printing something small...

Thank you for the link.

It looks a ton different and for some reason the print area is way to small or out of scale to the parts.

Re: Hatchbox Filament

I am using the Up Box and normally I run it at about 222 to 225, but I am out of ideas as to why it is acting the way that it is.

Re: So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

I see what your saying and I would agree if it hadn't worked in this configuration before. The prints stick to the bed fine and the first layer is sticking good, but after that it is just junk.

Re: Hatchbox Filament

To start with, your temp at 310 is way too high, dont know the filament but suspect you should be closer to 240. Have you tried the new Studio software that allows you to now vary temp? May be easier to try this first to see if it improves anything (but still need to set the temp around 230-240 I s...

[quote="tegregg"]Sounds like it may have something to do with temp. Are you using UP filament? If not have you adjusted the temp for the filament you are using?[/quote

I'm currently using Hatchbox which I have had good luck with while using the Fix up software.

Re: So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

Sorry to hear that. We have 2 up-boxes printers here and both work well. (Way better prints than our more expensive makerbot.) All this has been with Up ABS on rafts using the perfboard. What problems do you have and with which filament? Cheers, Owen S. The layers just don't seem to adhere to each ...

Re: So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

It is currently not sticking layers together no matter what I do. I can raise the bed to the point it won't work then back it down and the same thing no matter what. The first layer (no raft) will lay down fine, but all after that are stringy and not connected to the lower layer very well at all. Th...

So is anyone else's Up Box a total POS?

This is the third machine that I have had. The first on just stopped heating the nozzle, the second didn't work out of the box, no bed heat, and now this one is going me such inconstant prints I'm ready to throw it.

Re: WORKING: SOFTWARE TEMP MOD - ADJUSTABLE LAYER HEIGHTS !

I've just started using the adapted software and yes when you make an alteration in the adapted software window like layer temperature it will override any other settings. And if you make a change to other layer setting like the layer thickness it will override the other settings within the app soft...
